Funeral services for Essie Parnell Mozingo, 82, will be held at 4 p.m. today, April 10, 2002, at Savannah Advent Christian Church.The Revs. Michael Blake and Charles McLendon will officiate with burial in the church cemetery directed by Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home.The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Savannah Advent Christian Church, 1948 Ashland-Stokes Bridge Rd., Bishopville, SC 29010.

Mrs. Mozingo, widow of Gary Mozingo died Monday, April 8, 2002.Born in Darlington County, she was a daughter of the late Columbus Arthur and Ida Gertrude Fields Parnell. She was a member of Savannah Advent Christian Church.

Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law, Edward and Nancy Mozingo of Williston, Gene and Ann Mozingo of Hartsville; sisters-in-law, Betty Parnell of Shelby, N.C., Katherine Melton of Gastonia, N.C.; Dora Parnell of Lamar; grandchildren, Gary Mozingo, Amanda Mozingo, Caroline Mozingo; and several nieces and nephews.
