Captain Kathryn Janeway
Kathryn Janeway was born on Earth in the state of Illinois. She grew up around the farm during her childhood. Her father was a starfleet officer in charge of ship design. She excelled in Parises Squares and later went on to play Tennis and become the captain pf her high school team.

It was during her years at the Academy that Kathryn was noticed by Admiral Paris for possible potential. She spent large quantities of energy to fufill the expectations set forth by the Admiral. It was during one of her very first assignments out of the Academy that she saw her fiancé and father killed.

Commander Chakotay
Commander Chakotay grew up among a Native American ancestry. His father still believed and practiced many of the original religious teachings of their tribe, which had settled on the peaceful planet Trebus, which was much like Earth, thousands of lightyears away to escape the confinements of the World Government.

Chakotay never shared his father's love for their ancestry as a boy. It was against his parent's wishes that he left to join Star Fleet Academy when he was 17. After only a year he was divided as to if he was to stay, and he spent the summer break at home on Trebus to decide. It was there he took a spirit quest and he decided to remain at the Academy.

His years in Star Fleet were mainly troubled. Relations with the amphibious Cardassians were falling apart when simple border disputes were turning into squirmishes. When Chakotay was a Lieutenant, unofficial war broke out with these aliens. For several years, he was part of hundreds of battles on land, air, water and in space. He was granted extended shoreleave and returned to Trebus, where told his father he was going to abandon their beliefs.

As part of the treaty established, a buffer "demilitarized" zone was formed to seperate Cardassian and Federation territory. Trebus was within that zone, so against Star Fleet's urges, Trebus officially withdrew all rights to protection from the Cardassians. The only method of safety was to be moved to a location outside the DMZ, which the Trebians refused. It was while Chakotay was a Lt. Commander that his homeworld was incinerated by Cardassian thermalite weapons.

Chakotay left Star Fleet, where he became part of an underground movement known as the Maquis waging war against the Cardassians. It was while in the Badlands that his ship, the Liberty, was whisked away to the Delta Quadrant, and the rest is history.

Lieutenant Commander Tuvok
Lt. Commander Tuvok grew up under a traditional Vulcan family on the planet Vulcan. His father was away at the temple for most of the days of his childhood, so he was mainly raised by his mother. When he approached the age of ascension, it was decided for him that instead of becoming a part of the faith of nonemotion, he would train to become a Starfleet officer, simply because it was felt he had a passion to follow his father, which was considered dangerous.

His Academy years were marked with excellency as he excelled in his studies. More than once, he became the target of young human females, yet, being so strongly Vulcan, couldn't understand their attraction to him. More than once he broke the heart of someone because he didn't understand sexual relations.

After serving out a brief career as an Ensign, Tuvok's parents decided he could return to Vulcan to begin his studies. After offcially resigning, he began his studies under the infamous M'Fau. For years he lived in the ultimate simplicity of life, with but a bare room to himself, he lived a life of isolation and work. It was then he experienced his first Pon-farr. As customary, he took a wife, her name was T'Pel.

Ultimately, his marriage to T'Pel produced four children: Sek, Varith, Elieth and Asil. It was after his fourth child, Asil, that he finally decided to make a pilgrimage to the sacred Mount Seleya, but using the less-common route, through the desert...alone. It was during a remarkable turn of events that he survived, and he thanked the fates for granting it to him. He then decided to return to Starfleet.

His career in Starfleet was brief before he met Captain Kathryn Janeway. He felt the woman dangerous. It was after a bad report filed by him that an admiral chose to assign him to Janeway's ship. And thus the saga begins..

The Doctor
Voyager's Emergency Medical Hologram is designated as an Emergency Mark I hologram. It is his design that is the first in a long line of holograms now used by Starfleet. His original programming simply called for him to be used in emergency situations until further help could arrive, but from the beginning, he has served as Voyager's permanent Chief Medical Officer.

Originally, the EMH Mark I was confined simply to sickbay, unable to leave due to the lack of holoemitters outside of it. It was in season 3 of Voyager that the holodoc was equipped with a mobile emitter allowing him for the first time to leave sickbay and move about te rest of the ship.

At the will of Captain Janeway, The Doctor has been allowed to expand past his original programming, and now serves in a variety of new fashions he was unable to even once comprehend.

Lieutenant B'Elanna Torres
B'Elanna Torres was born to a mixed heritage. Her father was a human. When she was still very young her father had left her as well as her mother, Prabsa. As is evident, Prabsa was Klingon. Together they lived on a Federation colony designated Nessik. During her life B'Elanna was accustomed to not having friends. It was out of curiosity that she chose to join Starfleet. It seemed to be a mistake from the start.

Almost immediately she felt she could not cope with the ideals of Starfleet while at the Academy. It was then that she began recieving messages from her father in Mexico. She could never summon the courage to ever respond.

It was finally that B'Elanna chose to resign from the Academy and she became, for a time, a drifter. It was while she was temporarily serving as an engineer on a supply freighter heading for the DMZ that Cardassians attacked and uncovered weapons that B'Elanna had no knowledge of. She was rescued by a Maquis Captain named Chakotay who needed the supplies for his underground revolution against the Cardassians. It was eagerly that she joined his ship, the Liberty.

It was then while attempting to escape a Cardassian ship in the Badlands that the Liberty was snatched to the Delta Quadrant..and then B'Elanna began her quest.

Lieutenant Tom Paris
Tom grew up on Earth. He lived in a Starfleet family, his father was an important admiral with Starfleet. After his two sisters chose different careers, Tom decided to follow his father and enrolled in the Academy. From the beginning he decided to be different, and dropped his chance on the Academy's Parises Squares team and instead took up skiing, joining the small Academy team.

On the ski team he met two of his closest companions during his Academy year, Odile Launay and Brunolf Katajavuori. It was while on a routine shuttle training mission that both Odile and Brunolf along with another friend of Tom's named Charlie Day were killed. In truth the accident was Tom's fault, for during a strafing run on an asteroid Tom pulled out of his dive too late for the other pilots to compensate for, and they all crashed into the asteroid, except for Tom who was the sole survivor.

Tom's testimony was the only available evidence, and so he lied. Blaming the accident on Brunolf and thus escaping punishment. Without his friends he lived a short and dismal life in Starfleet before deciding to reveal the truth. He was dismissed from Starfleet service before he was recruited by a man named Chakotay to be a part of the Maquis. When his ship, the Liberty, became trapped in a nebula, he sent Tom to get help, but Tom was captured by Starfleet and arrested. While in a prison camp he was recruited by a woman named Kathryn Janeway to serve on her ship.

Neelix
Morale officer and bottle washer Neelix grew up in the Delta Quadrant on the moon of the planet Talax, Rinax. As a child he grew up in a large and loving home with 5 older sisters. He was very imaginative, and became interested in weapons at a very young age. It was after an accident with a weapon he had restored by himself that his father helped to him to take a serious, and more careful, approach to the study.

His teenage years were normal compared to those of any other in his species, which included the pursuit of girls. It was then that trouble began brewing with a race known as the Haakonians. The Talaxians engaged in a fierce war with these people for several years. Fearful for Neelix's safety, his mother and father had him leave their moon of Rinax after Neelix found a tortured Talaxian in a small hut near their home. Neelix lived on Talax and eventually became sure the war would be over soon when the Haakonians deployed a weapon of unmeasurable power on Rinax, which wiped out almost the entire population, including his family. The only survivors died within several weeks from injuries, and the Talaxians surrendered.

Neelix wandered aimlessly, then. Becoming a trader of goods with alien species. During this time he fought an addiction to Rhuludian Crystals. This nasty habit was broken thanks to a partner and friend of Neelix, a man named Wix. His friendship with Wix was cut short when Wix was arrested for attempting to sell false goods. Neelix escaped, but again wandered aimlessly. It was after encountering a Kazon Maje that he discovered an Ocampa slavegirl named Kes. Neelix rescued her from the Maje with the help of a group of people from the Alpha Quadrant.

Ensign Harry Kim
Harry grew up in a loving family. His earliest memories were of music and art. When he was still young he took up the Clarinet and soon became hailed as a prodigy on the instrument by the time he was ten. He had an unlimited future ahead of him in the area of music for which he could easily excel.

Harry's life took an unexpected change for him when he was fourteen. While on a hiking expedition with his father in the Sierra Nevada mountains an accident occurred which injured his father. Isolated from mankind in the wilderness, Harry was helpless until Starfleet Academy rescue teams detected the emergency and beamed Harry and his father out, essentially saving his life. From that point on Harry decided that he wanted to be a part of Starfleet, and devoted all his time to preparing for the grueling entrance exams he would need to take in just four short years. Unprepared in the scientific and mathematical curriculums he would take, Harry spent his time studying and learning.

When the time came Harry passed the neccessary standardized test, but was rejected after being interviewed by a board of admirals for not being "Starfleet material." Determined to enter, he reapplied a year later and was this time accepted into the Academy.

For four long years he became the object of control by one Commander Nimembeh. Upon graduation the Commander recommended to Harry not to assume any type of desk job with Starfleet, so it was gladly that he took Ops officer for Voyager.
