Seven finds that there are some friends that need her help

The Review
The flashback scenes were worked into the script quite well. They were all well-timed and without many lags in the evolution of the story. I greatly applaud whoever thought of creating a story about Seven having different feelings about the collective than her unimatrix companions, because, essentially, this was what the episode covered. As we saw in Dark Frontier, Seven's parents did not really give little Annika as much care as the borg did, she could understandbly be resistant on leaving it and because of the purpose of the collective, not want to be alone.
It was touching, it really was. I felt sorry for the three of them, two of nine, three of nine and four of nine. Once they had finally gained individuality, they were forced to literally give up there lives. And of course we can't forget Seven, she is finally becoming more in touch with her human side by becoming more in touch with her borg half.

Other Reviews
To Seven's surprise, Seven finds that former members of the Borg collective have come seeking here help.
I'll be nice, Survival Instinct was a good episode. It turned out different than all the previous borg episodes we've seen since Seven came aboard Voyager a few years ago. It wasn't a "Will Seven choose to stay on Voyager?" but "Will Seven make the right decision?" episode, truly a breath of fresh air. There wasn't an alien-of-the-week theme, meaning the storyline isn't just a play on a previous episode's plot.
