The following comes from TrekWeb:

Tim Russ, who called in to 'The Howard Stern Show' two weeks ago to promote his new music album and accepted a challenge by Howard to compete against Howard's own band, indeed appeared on the show today (This was actually yesterday) and took part in the "battle".

Howard's band, The Losers, performed first. After some initial technical problems which caused Howard's band to start over twice before finally taking a break to resolve the problem, The Losers were able to perform. Howard offered, "After the break, Tim Russ, Mr. Tuvok from Star Trek: Voyager, will have his chance in the Sun... but I don't give him much hope."

So after another break, Tim's band, Neil Norman and the Cosmic Orchestra, had a crack at it. Tim's band performed a song off their album entitled "Money Talks".

The judges consisted of three individuals from the music industry. The first judge, Jason, commented that Tim's band "looks like they could've been a wedding band in the Truman era," and voted for Howard's 'The Losers'. The second judge, Steve, liked the originality of The Losers' outfits while commenting that Tim's band's outfits were too far-out for him; he finally voted for Howard's band because of the hook of their song "Hurty Dirty Man" (couldn't quite make out the title as I'm not familiar with this song). The third judge, Tom from MTV, also voted for Howard's band because of Fred's guitar playing which captured more of a contemporary feel.

Howard graciously accepted victory and Tim offered a rematch on "his coast" - the west coast, with his own west coast experts on the music industry. Tim also challenged Howard to call the producers of 'Voyager' to get an appearance on the show, to which Howard responded that if he appeared on the show it would have to be cancelled. As the loser, Tim had to don his Tuvok Vulcan ears, which he brought from the show.
