As Starfleet moves onto the web, we have begun to explore this new world around us. In our travels we have come across at least one or two websites proving their worth.
- I wondered a little about this first site, what exactly is it? True, the majority of it is news, but it does so much else beyond that! The Great Link is a good place to get lost. News, reviews, interviews and so much more!
- It's really actually just one gigantic message board disguised as a news site. TrekWeb beautifully incorporates the news with allowing the visitors to have a say.
A truly great e-mail publication, I myself am a subscriber. Amazing news reporting and always catches a few things we slip up on here at Starfleet Intelligence.
- When a site like TrekToday comes around, it probably makes atleast one or two webmasters turn bright red. If anybody can take the time to update their site every day just as Christian Höhne Sparborth manages, then what about those people who are always behind on everything? Makes even some of us who update frequently feel bad.. ;-)
- Even though it's spelled wrong (You're supposed to laugh your head off, so do it right now), SyFy World makes the internet a little brighter. Sci Fi webheads, attention, this is a site carrying more than just the name Trek on it, Star Wars, Babylon 5, the X-Files... they're there too.
- A relative newcomer, it has been on the web longer than SFI, but probably not as long as some of the others. Section 31 came along a few years ago after the original premiere of Section 31 on DS9. It's a great site, truly, with some splendid graphics.
This site is one of the neatest sites around. Maximum Warp is a Trek site devoted to many different categories, with a web guide, store and even database!
Yes, that's right. There are actually people out there who like to make fun of Star Trek. Guess what, it's all done by Trekkies!! Who else is best at making fun of something than the people who know it the best? Sev Trek is a weekly-updated Trek parody.
