In the March issue of Teen People there is a rather large atricle in it written about Jessica (as told by Jess). She tells her fans that she is staying a virgin until she is married. AND, that she's darn proud of it! It also reveals for the first time publicly that Jessica is dating Nick Lachey from 98 degress. They're so cute together! (I added a picture of them together on the pics page). They both say it was love at first sight! Awwwww.....

UPPER RESPIRATORY INFECTION FORCES JESSICA SIMPSON TO CANCEL REMAINDER OF 1999 CONCERT PERFORMANCES

A serious upper respiratory infection has forced singer Jessica Simpson to cancel all of her remaining live performances and television appearances scheduled until the end of this year. Ms. Simpson is receiving excellent medical care and is expected to make a full recovery and resume performing by the beginning of 2000.

Jessica had year-end performances scheduled in Philadelphia, Boston, New York, Los Angeles, Sacramento, and Detroit as well as a scheduled appearance on "The View." She has been promoting Sweet Kisses, her debut album on Columbia Records. Jessica Simpson's "I Wanna Love You Forever" has been the #1 best-selling single in the nation.

"I feel absolutely terrible about having to cancel these shows," said Jessica Simpson. "I was really looking forward to performing and celebrating the holidays with all my fans on the road. I want to thank my fans for their love and understanding during my illness and I promise to make up for these cancelled shows after the first of the year. Happy Holidays, everybody!"

End Note: News from Sept. 28~ Jessica alos had to have emergeny surgery in Boston, MA. "I had a cyst on my fallopian tube the size of a volleyball with 3.5 liters of fluid inside it..yes we can say painful! God put me in Boston at just the right time because the doctor (who is my personal hero) was an amazing surgeon and had the knowledge and tools necessary to do surgery without having to do it so extensively that i would have been out of comission for a long time..I am healing great".
