Chapter 1 - The Beginning
Introduction
Imagine that the Ronin Warriors and Sailor Moon existed in their own respective parallel universes. Now, imagine another universe, devoid of the Ronins and the Sailors. What type of hero would emerge to save the earth then?
Rayna slowly walked to school knowing she was going to be late again. Why can't I wake up on time? she thought, Probably because I hate school so much. It's so boring! She walked along, oblivious to her surroundings, otherwise she would have noticed the large white tiger before she bumped into it. She fell backward with a soft cry. She started to apologize when she looked up to see who she bumped into and stopped in midsentence. She stared at the tiger and it stared back.
"Please don't eat me," she managed to gulp out.
The tiger simply stared at her and then sat down. After a few moments, Rayna gathered her courage and reached out to pat the tiger's head. To her surprise, it leaned into her touch.
"Hey," she murmured, "You're a friendly tiger. I'd stay to pet you longer, but I'm already late for school."
She patted it's head once more, then turned to go. As she walked along, she realized the tiger was following her. She turned to face it and started to speak, but another voice interrupted her.
"You are one of the girls we have to worry about?" the masculine voice laughed, "Prepare to die, child!"
The tiger growled and Rayna looked around to find the source of the voice, but she couldn't see anyone. Suddenly, the tiger lept at her, pouncing on her and pinning her to the groun. She let out a scream, then she saw the sickle imbedded into the ground where she had been standing.
"You saved my life..." she said to the tiger.
It dropped a brooch onto her chest and let her up. Rayna took the brooch and examined it. It was golden with four black lopsided diamonds on it to form gold X through the middle of the four diamonds.
The man's voice came again as the sickle was pulled from the ground by the chain that was attached to it, "Stupid beast, you can't keep her safe forever."
"Who are you?" Rayna called as she stood.
"Oh where are my manners?" he laughed, "My name is Nefan. Demon General of the NegaRealm."
"The what now?" she asked, a puzzled look on her face.
A man in a gray suit with long red hair and dark brown eyes came into view. He carried a sickle attached to a chain. He gave her a cruel smile.
"You've never heard of us?" he asked.
Rayna clutched the brooch to her chest and shook her head, "No..."
"Well, the Queen Talya of the NegaRealm will soon rule the world...but you won't live to see that happen," he said stalking closer.
For every step closer he came, she stepped backward until her back was up against a wall. A sudden feeling came over her and she raised the brooch over her head and called out, "Wildfire Power!"
She was instantly consumed in flames, but wasn't burned. When they receeded, she was shocked to find herself wearing a fuku with a red skirt and bows. Her knee high boots were also red. She also realized she was holding two katanas. The man, Nefan, let out an angry growl.
"What just happened?" Rayna mumbled to herself.
"So you found your power. I'm afraid it won't help you! Now DIE!" Nefan growled out, swinging his chain.
