Contentment

Sitting watching TV
Relaxing in a chair
Family around me
It’s nice to have them there

Jessie on the cold tiles
A nice cool place to sleep
Curtains drawn against the night
I’ll soon be counting sheep

Morrie’s by my side
He reaches for my hand
No silver in our pockets
Yet the richest in the land

All the little things you do
All the ways you care
How can I say thank you
For all the things we share

Cups of tea at dawn
Brought to me in bed
Understanding moments
When thoughts riot in my head

Tea and toast for breakfast
When I sleep the morning thru
After writing in the early hours
I love you...

Our Anniversary

Twenty seven years have come and gone
Though that time hasn't seemed so long.
The years have passed so quickly it seems,
A marriage surpassed in all our dreams.

Happy together, we've found our way
I love you - is all we have to say.
A special bond we share together,
It's got us through some stormy weather.

Sunshine often fills our days,
Overflows in many ways.
With three great kids, who are very dear
We celebrate this day each year.
