A dew drop on a rose petal
Slides into oblivion
As dawn breaks
Painting the sky vermilion.
Dew falls softly
Settles upon the rose
Perfume wafts gently
Sweet sensation to the nose
Velvet soft petals
Every different hue,
Size, shape and colour
Enhanced by morning dew.
