Temperance "Tempy"
Mathias 'Tyce' Light was married to Mary Catherine Moore. They were from Old Pendleton Co. South Carolina which is now Anderson County. They traveled to Kentucky where they had one child before moving on to Harrison County, Indiana. One daughter, Anna, married Thomas Jefferson WRIGHT in Harrison County in 1814 and it is believed that Tyce died there in about 1808. The family then moved to Owen County, Indiana where it is believed that Mary died. There is a LIGHT cemetery near Freedom in Owen County.
