Fairy Tale Summer Part 2

Lizzy stuck the key into the lock of the door. She opened it slowly while looking at Kristin. She was out cold but you could swear there was a huge smile on her face. It was as if she knew that she was in Lance's arms. When Lizzy opened the door she heard a bunch of people talking. "Oh thank god!" she mumbled under her breath, hearing Jessie's voice. At least they finally got to the house. She entered the house followed by JC and Lance carrying Kristin. "Where have you been?" Lizzy asked Jessie and Michelle as they ran toward her. "You will not believe what happened to us at the mall!" said Michelle in excitement. She hadn't noticed Kristin in Lance's arms until Johanna came running up in concern. "What happened to Kristin?!?!" she said running up to them. "She had a little accident." Replied JC. "JC, man what are you doing here?" asked Joey noticing who was there. "And you?" he replied. "What are you doing here?" Lizzy finally spoke and stopped the mad amounts of pointless questions that were being asked. "Uh hello? Am I the only one who cares that Kristin here is out cold?" she asked a bit annoyed. At that point, Lance brought Kristin over the threshold and into the house. Justin then caught a glimpse of the girl Lance was holding. It was the beautiful girl who ran past security at Virgin earlier today. He couldn't believe his eyes. It was as if fate was bringing them together. He just hoped that she was ok. "Will she be ok?" he asked out of concern. "She'll be fine." Said Lance "I should lay her down though." "This way Lance." Said Lizzy leading Lance over to Kristin's room. He took her inside and laid her down on the bed. She was soaking wet and still completely out. "Thank you so much. You saved her life." Said Lizzy. "No problem." He replied "I'm just glad I could help." "Here, I'll get you a towel and a damp cloth to try and revive Kristin." Lizzy started out of Kristin's room. Lance lingered behind and just looked at Kristin. "Coming?" Lizzy asked "Yeah, right behind you." And he followed Lizzy out. Justin managed to sneak away from the crowd of people explaining each other's stories. He crept into Kristin's room and looked at her on the bed. He sat there and watched. He couldn't believe how beautiful she was. She started stirring and slowly opened her eyes. Justin stood up and took her hand. "Kristin?" he held her hand and looked at her intently. "Huh? What happened?" " I don't know. JC said you had a little accident. I guess something happened on the beach." She was completely out of it. Her eyes came into focus and she noticed she was looking into Justin Timberlake's eyes. "Oh my gosh! It wasn't a dream!" she finally figured out that what happened earlier with Lance wasn't all in her head. Twice she had passed out today and woken up to be face to face with a member of NSYNC. "I can't believe this is happening. Are you really standing here in front of me?" "Yeah. Weird isn't it?" she fell back with a headache and dizzyness from the lack of oxygen. "Whoa, whoa just rest Kristin and hold on." He went to the door and called out. "Uh can someone help! She's awake." Lizzy and Jessie ran in. Jessie had the damp cloth in her hand. She put it to Kristin's forehead just as Kristin began asking a ton of questions. Justin stood back and let Lizzy and Jessie take care of her. JC eventually came into the room and told Justin that they needed to get back to their beach house, which was coincidentally next door, and let the girls rest. The guys quickly slipped out followed by Johanna, who had to get home, and left the girls to take in everything that had just happened. "Wow! So like I just fainted?" asked Kristin as she sipped the hot chocolate Lizzy had prepared for all of them. "Yeah! It was the cutest thing, Kristin. You took one look at Lance and you were out!" Lizzy had changed into boxers and T-shirt as had the others. They were all settled in the living room and were telling each other's stories. The coincidences had gotten out of control. NSYNC was staying in the beach house right next door to them. Out of all the places they could have gone they picked the one next to four of their biggest fans. It made sense though. This was a very quite secluded beach and besides the nine of them, there was no one staying on that part of the beach. It was just them and the beautiful ocean. "I still can't believe that you two ran in to them at the mall." Said Lizzy referring to Michelle and Jessie. "Well, actually, Joey ran into Jessie." Said Michelle with a smirk. "I think he was a little happy to run in to her." "Oh get off it Michelle!" Jessie was blushing and embarrassed. "OOOHH! Jessie's blushing!" Michelle couldn't get off of the subject. "Oh come on Jessie. Admit it, he's cute and you like him." "I know he's cute, I just can't be attracted to him yet. I've been watching him for a while, but I just met him three hours ago." Michelle just raised her eyebrow. She knew Jessie felt something. But she also knew that she was too proud to admit. Trying to get off the Joey subject, Jessie focused her attention on Lizzy who was gathering up the mess in the living room. "So, Lizzy, any sparks fly between you and JC?" They all stared at her. "No." she said looking disappointed but as if she just thought about it for the first time. "No not really." "What did you say to him?" Kristin asked "Uh hello? Earth to Kristin! You were drowning. What was I supposed to say? Hey I think you're hotter than anything I've seen. Please marry me and father my children!" they all laughed. "I just led him to the shoreline and pointed you out." Lizzy suddenly remembered one moment they shared. " I do remember that I was crying cause I thought you were a goner." "Awe Liz, you really care!" said Kristin "Yeah, but when Lance was giving you mouth to mouth_" "Wait Liz, say that again I love hearing it!" Kristin then closed her eyes and tried to relive the moment. Lizzy just rolled her eyes and humored her. "When Lance was giving you mouth to mouth, there, happy?" "Yes!" she sat back down and listened to Lizzy. "I was in hysterics and I began to tremble. Well anyway, JC put his arm on my shoulder and told me that everything was gonna be ok. At that point, I felt safe and reassured. I knew then, everything was." "Awe!" they all said. "That's basically all that happened." Lizzy then went to pick up the towel Lance had dried himself off with. "WAIT!!!" screamed Kristin jumping up. "What, what, what happened?" said Lizzy completed startled by Kristin's sudden outburst. "I want to pick up that towel. It's the one Lance used!" They all just burst into laughter as Kristin picked up the towel and cradled it like a baby. There was a sudden knock at the door and Lizzy ran to get. She took a quick look in the mirror. Her hair was in a messy bun and the T-shirt and boxers did nothing to help her appearance. There was really no time to do anything about it so she opened the door and prayed that it wasn't JC. It was Chris. "Hi, Lizzy, was it?" "Yeah! Hi Chris how are ya?" "Well, considering all that's happened today, I'm feeling pretty damn good." "Glad to be on vacation?" "Totally! And sharing the beach with four gorgeous gals ain't to shabby either." Lizzy giggled and led him in the house. "So, to what do we owe this pleasure?" "Well, the guys told me to come over and invite you girls to go out dancing with us later." "Uh, definitely!" said Lizzy elated at the offer. "We were planning on going anyway. Having five escorts will just make it all the more enjoyable." "Great!" he said. "See ya in about two hours!" "Sure." She opened the door for him and he left. She let out a little shriek only she could hear. She couldn't believe she was going to a club to dance with NSYNC. She could hardly contain herself. "Lizzy who was that?" called Jessie from the other room. Lizzy just ran into the living room and yelled out to the other girls. "Guys, get dressed, NSYNC's taking us clubbing!" Chris ran to the boys' house and flew through the screen door. Joey was seated on the couch laughing hysterically at yet another episode of South Park. Justin was counting out push-ups on the floor beside JC who was seated reading music sheets. "They said yes!" shouted Chris as he flew in. Joey and Justin looked up with enthusiastic faces and stopped what they were doing. JC just kept shuffling through papers. "For real?" said Joey "No Joey for fake!" Chris said teasingly "Of course for real!" "Awesome! There's nothing I like more than a night of dancing with great looking chicks!" Joey said clicking off the TV. "Their not chicks Joey." said JC correcting Joey's snide remark. "Have a little class and realize that these girls may have a little more than great outer appearance." "Yeah, they also have great outer movement!" he laughed at his remark as Chris joined in and gave him a high five. "Grow up Joey!" JC said turning his attention back to his music. "Oh come on JC. I was just kidding!" Joey said standing up and snatching JC's papers from his hand. JC immediately jumped up and tried to retrieve his papers. Joey ran around the room mocking JC. Justin and Chris just sat and laughed at the two of them. JC was getting incredibly irritated. He made a diving leap for the papers and grabbed hold of them. Joey was holding on so tightly that the sheets ripped in two pieces. Justin and Chris immediately stopped laughing and JC flushed with anger. "Awe crap!" JC screamed. He had worked incredibly hard on them and now he had to start completely anew. "Listen man I'm sorry! I didn't think they'd break!" Joey slowly handed JC the pieces. JC snatched them away in a fit of rage. "Yeah Joey that's cause you don't think!" he said shuffling through the pieces. Joey looked hurt at JC's words. "I- I'm sorry!" was all he managed to choke out. He wasn't prepared for JC's loud outburst. "Yeah, well sorry's not good enough!" he began to storm out of the room. "You're twenty two, Joey, for God's sake start acting like it!" and with that he ran into his room and slammed the door shut. JC pushed by Lance on the way to his room. Lance had just taken a shower and had a towel wrapped around his waist. He was running another towel through his wet hair. "What's up with JC?" he asked dumbfounded. Joey was still standing in shock at the outburst. "Man I have no idea?" Justin said "Joey just_" Joey shot Justin an incriminating look. He knew he was on the way to being blamed for the entire argument. He was sick of being the target of all blame. "Uh I don't know!" Justin didn't want to get caught in the middle. There was an eerie silence as Lance stood there trying to figure out what happened. Joey was upset at JC for overreacting. He needed to get out. He needed to vent. He new exactly what would make him feel better. "Lance put some clothes on!" he yelled "We're going dancing!" Compared to the guys, the girls were a lot less trouble getting ready. Joey must have thrown every shirt he had out on the floor; finding the perfect outfit was no easy task. Justin couldn't get his hair to behave. And as for Lance, well he was completely dysfunctional. After hours of fixing themselves up, the guys finally emerged from their rooms. Chris was seated on the couch waiting. "Where the hell have you guys been?" he stood and threw down the magazine he was reading "Sorry!" Lance said still looking in the full length mirror. Justin kept fiddling with his hair and Joey kept smoothing out his long black leather jacket. He had on his khaki wide leg pants with a black belt and a black beater under his jacket. While Lance, Chris and Justin kept it simple yet stylish, when it came to their club wear, Joey went all out. Clubbing was basically his favorite pastime and in his view, the clothes make the man. "Well, can we go now!" said Chris impatiently. The three of them didn't move though. They just stood in front of the mirror and fixed even the tinniest flaw on their ensemble. "Let's GO!" "Calm down man!" said Joey running a comb through his hair "There's time." "Well, if you consider being forty five minutes late having time, then sure take all the time you need." Chris said as he exited through the front door. "Shoot we're late!" Justin said as he grabbed his jacket and followed Chris out. Lance and Joey went to follow Justin when Lance stopped at the threshold. "Wait Joey!" he suddenly remembered "What about JC?" "Forget about me man." JC had emerged from his room and was stalled in front of the refrigerator with a bottled water in his hand. "I'm just gonna chill here and work on my music." Joey looked at JC with apologetic eyes. He saw how stressed he was about whatever he was working on. Joey realized he must have set him back quite a bit. "You sure JC?" Lance asked "Yeah! Go ahead." JC started back to his room. "Go ahead Lance. I'll catch up." Joey wanted to talk to JC quickly before he left. Lance left and Joey called out. "Hey JC, bro, come back." JC showed up again. "What Joey? I have to get back to work." "Look why don't you come out with us and the girls tonight. I mean we're on vacation. Have some fun!" Joey new what a workaholic JC was and he was tired of JC constantly tiring himself out. "I can't man! I have to work on this song. Its important." He replied. "Besides, being in the music business doesn't stop when you take a vacation." "Yeah but_" JC cut him off "Look I have to work tonight." "Yeah and tomorrow night and probably every night after that. Gosh man, you just don't stop. Take a break and live a little!" Joey let out "Joey just go!" JC had had enough of the lecture. "You're late to pick the girls up!" "Not even going with us and you're complaining about schedules. Just lighten up!" and with that, Joey was out the door and slamming it shut. JC stood there and took in everything he was just told. Joey was right. He hated when Joey was right. The girls were very understanding towards the fact that they were over half an hour late. "We completely understand that your plumbing exploded." Said Michelle unknowingly as she stepped out of the car. "Stuff like that always happens at the worst times." Justin got out directly after her. Chris pulled him aside. "You told them our plumbing burst?" "Well I had to make up some excuse." He whispered to Chris " I wasn't going to tell them we were late cause we were having trouble getting dressed." Chris just rolled his eyes as the group gathered together to decide on where to go. The girls had plenty of trouble picking out outfits but at the end, it was worth it. Lizzy had on a black cris-cross shirt that was covered in sparkles on top of her dark blue satin skirt. Kristin took this as the perfect opportunity to debut her new floor length black coat. She wore it on top of a red spaghetti strap top and black mini-skirt. Michelle had on a short silver empire dress and Jessie had on her black dress flares and a dark wine stretchy twin set. The group looked adorable together. They were dressed to kill and ready to have a good time. Lizzy finally took notice to a missing person. "Hey where's JC?" she asked trying not to sound too anxious. "Oh he's being a total sellout and staying home." Justin said "Workin' on something. I don't know. He's always got his nose in some work." The girls all shot Lizzy an "I'm so sorry" look. She was a little disappointed but she promised herself that she wouldn't let that ruin her evening. They stood there for a while until Joey broke the silence. "Well, come on we didn't come here just to stare at the clubs. Lets go in!" Lizzy used these words as encouragement. She was going to have fun. "Yeah!" she said "I'm in the mood for some serious dancing." She spotted one of the clubs and heard a song she liked blasting inside. "Look, I love that song let's go and dance in there." She started towards the entrance quickly being followed by Joey until she noticed no one else was following her. "Come on guys, what are you waiting for?" Joey asked "Well, I kind of wanted to walk up and down Ocean Drive before we immediately went in to dance." Lance said, feeling the ocean breeze on his face. "Yeah," Kristin replied purposely agreeing with Lance. "I don't wanna just hit a club the minute we arrive. Lets take in the sights a little." Everyone but Lizzy and Joey, who were ready to dance, nodded in agreement. "Well, ok then. Why don't you guys take the stroll and admire the sights and we'll go in." Lizzy said trying to hurry things along so she could get inside. "Where will we meet up?" Jessie asked. "Ok" Joey looked down at his watch, "In about an hour, meet us down in that club." He pointed down to the club with the bright blue sign above it. Jessie, Justin, Kristin, Michelle, Chris, and Lance all nodded and headed off. Lizzy and Joey turned around and started towards the entrance. "I'm so glad I have someone to go dancing with me tonight." He said. "I really need to let loose right now." "Well I always love to dance" Lizzy said. " I could use some letting loose myself." She needed to let go and just have a good time tonight. She new dancing at a club with Joey was just the thing to get her mind off the fact that she really was disappointed at JC's absence. The club scene was a noisy one. Right now, it was something that only Lizzy and Joey were in the mood for. They were dancing the night away and having a great time getting to know one another while the others just sat on the beach and talked. On the walk to the benches where they settled, Kristin tried her hardest to stick next to Lance. He was happy to have her there with until Justin came along. He walked up beside them and took Kristin's arm. When he did that, Kristin got the far off feeling she got when he first winked at her. She absentmindedly forgot about Lance and started walking with Justin. He turned on all his charm to let Kristin know that he was interested. This saddened Lance because Justin once again got the girl, but this time, it was the girl he wanted. They got to the benches and began talking. Justin and Kristin were sitting right next to the others but were engrossed in their own personal conversation. They were laughing and talking about all sorts of things. Lance wasn't the only one that was jealous. Michelle got the green in her eye as well. She was a little mad at Kristin for being with Justin, but she set her mind straight when she assured herself that were just talking. Jessie got a sudden craving when she spotted a Starbuck's Coffee. "I'm in the mood for a Frappachino." She said standing. "Anyone want one?" Chris, Lance, and Michelle raised their hands. Jessie turned to Kristin and Justin who were still living it up in their conversation "Uh, you guys want one?" They tuned back into reality and answered. "What?" said Kristin in tears from laughing so hard. "Oh yeah! Sure!" "Me too!" said Justin still laughing a bit. This made Lance a little sick and he just wanted to leave. "Look, Jessie I'll go with you." He joined Jessie and started to leave when Michelle also got the urge to leave. "Wait, Jessie I want to go too!" she started to get up when Chris spoke up. "Hey wait! Don't leave me alone with the giggle twins." He whined "Michelle stay here with Chris." Jessie said. Michelle sat back down and struck up a conversation with Chris to drown out Kristin and Justin. The night pretty much went the same way for the remainder. Chris, Jessie, Michelle, and Lance talked while Lance and Michelle shot dirty looks Kristin and Justin's way. An hour and forty five minutes went by when Jessie noticed what time it was. "Oh damn! We're late to meet Lizzy and Joey." She quickly stood up. "She is gonna kill us for being late the second time in one day." "Oh don't worry about it Jessie." Chris said standing "Lizzy's with Joey she'll get there later than us." "Chris you don't know Lizzy like we do. She's always punctual and she hates it when people mess up her plans. Things need to be perfect all the time in her eyes." "She should be out with JC then" said Chris. Jessie and Michelle just shot each other "I know" glances and started out to the club where they were going to meet Joey and Lizzy. "Justin, Kristin!" Jessie screamed. "Lets go, we're late." They reluctantly stood up and followed the rest of them. Around noon the next day, Lizzy was still fast asleep in her bed. The curtains were closed on the window. She slept like a baby until Kristin crept into her room and drew open the curtain. The sunshine flew into the room which caused Lizzy to stir and eventually wake up. She looked up and saw Kristin setting a cup of hot chocolate on the night stand. She could smell it which almost instantly perked her up. "What time is it Kristin?" "Almost 12:30." She was getting out some clothes for Lizzy. "Oh my gosh! It's late." She shot out of bed but tripped on her slippers and slammed down on the floor. "You ok?" Kristin asked with a giggle. "Yeah but we've got to hurry, we were going to go out to brunch." At that point Michelle hurried in the room. "What happened? I heard a thump is everything ok?" "Yeah I'm fine! But we've got to go! The breakfast places stop serving at one." She shot up but Kristin stopped her and handed her the cup of hot chocolate. "Here, take this and slow down. Everyone except you and Joey already went to breakfast. You two were both sleeping soundly and no one wanted to wake either of you." Kristin went back to laying out some clothes for Lizzy. "We let you guys sleep since it was obvious you were out partying till' late." Michelle said as Lizzy remembered last night. Her and Joey danced for quite a while. They lost complete track of time and got to the club where they were to meet the others at one in the morning. The others were long gone by then so they decided to stay in there and dance some more. They got home at three. "Oh yeah!" she said "I'm sorry we forgot about you guys. We were having such a good time we lost track of the time. That's so not like me." She sipped her chocolate. "Well it's ok. Why weren't you answering the phone. We called to see where you were." Michelle had settled on the bed looking at the NSYNC posters Lizzy had on her walls all over her room. "The music was blaring I didn't hear. You should've left a message so I would know you left." "We did." Kristin said. She picked up the cellular phone played the message and threw it to Lizzy. "Hi Lizzy, its Jessie. Wondering where the hell you and Joey are. It's midnight and we're all kinda drained so we're heading back to the house. Call us to let us know you're alive. Bye!" The phone beeped and Lizzy erased the message. She felt pretty stupid. "See." Kristin said. "I'm sorry guys. We were having so much fun. We like a lot of the same music and…" "Don't worry Lizzy." Michelle started. "Look we don't care. It's about time you had a full night of fun." Lizzy noticed Kristin throwing clothes out of her closet. "Ok, look, if you guys already went to brunch, why are you picking out clothes for me." she said referring to Kristin who was still nosing through her closet. "Well," she said finally pulling out an outfit. "We saw that you were a little upset about JC not being there last night." "And?" she said a little confused "We decided that you are going next door and inviting him on a tour of the area." Michelle said pulling Lizzy's hair into a ponytail with a ribbon. "Huh? Wait why?" Lizzy was now being dragged into the bathroom by the two girls. Before she could say another word, Kristin stuffed a toothbrush in her mouth and started scrubbing her teeth. Michelle was quickly applying some powder to her face and glitter to her eyelids. She was reluctantly being given a makeover for an outing she was just informed she was taking. The toothbrush was pulled out of her mouth and she rinsed. "Wait, what if he doesn't wanna go. And when did you guys start deciding what I do?" Kristin brushed Lizzy's lips with some shimmery lip tint. And Michelle pushed her out of the bathroom. "Well he was saying how pretty south beach was at breakfast and we thought this was the perfect opportunity for you to spend time with him." Kristin said handing Lizzy her peddle-pushers and light yellow tank top. "Besides, it's for your own good." Her and Michelle headed for the door. "Now get dressed!" Michelle ordered as they left the room. Lizzy couldn't believe how they forced her into this. It was a good plan, she just hoped she didn't spoil it by making a fool of herself. On her way to the boys' house, she spotted Joey and Jessie out on the beach. The two were playing volleyball and looked like they were having a blast. She remembered that she and Joey had a great time last night. He was a terrific dancer and they both had a lot in common. He really got her mind off her disappointment. But, she wasn't supposed to be thinking about Joey now. She turned to face the door to the boys' house. She took a quick look in her hand mirror and knocked on the door. JC answered it. He looked great and surprised to see her. "Lizzy?" he stepped out "What are you doing here?" "Well, Kristin and Michelle said you could use a tour of the area." She flashed him a sweet smile. "You offering?" he asked. "Yeah! You accepting?" she congratulated herself on not sounding to dense up till this point. "Well, I'm working on something right now," she knew where this was leading. She knew he was going to decline. "But I could use a break." "Great!" she sounded a little too enthusiastic but right now she didn't care. He grabbed his keys and headed out. "You lead the way." He said as he let her into his Jeep. Lizzy knew this was going to be a great day the sun was shinning and she was taking JC on a tour. Never would she have imagined she'd be in this situation.
