| CHEMEAST Perapid ES | |
Product description: A completely new concept for cleaning marine fouling or other biofouling from heat exchangers. Works extremely rapidly at ambient temperature. Completely eliminates dismantling and gasket renewal of plate-type exchangers. No environmental hazards whatsoever. The result is an oxidised and soluble ex-fouling and oxygen+water. |
Typical use: Plate-type heat exchangers, sea water filters and piping. Disinfecting tanks, wells and cooling water system components. Can be used to disinfect contaminated potable water systems. Can be used to remove smells from drains or toilet systems. Can be used to disinfect foodstuff areas. Usage concentration for general disinfecting cleaning: 20-10 parts clean water + 1 part Perapid. Contact times up to 1 hour at ambient temperature. |
Treatment: The equipment to be cleaned ( typically plate-type heat exchangers) to be isolated from the other system parts using valves, so that the reaction gases have free access up- and outward from the exchanger. Direct dosing is done through a dosing connection with valve. After the Perapid has been completely dosed this valve has to be closed to prevent gases escaping backward to the pump.
It is important to remember that when cleaning any system in which the reaction is immediate and gases are evolved, that if the gas escape hose is not secured, it may fly around dangerously. This is to be avoided.. In an open, or surface cleaning, the reaction will immediately produce effervescense and foaming. No mechanical agitation is required. Before attempting to use this product read carefully through all that has been written or presented as a flow arrangement. It is necessary because this product will otherwise take you by surprise. It works like no other product you have seen or experienced before. |
Storage: Store in a chemical store, separate from solvents, strong alkalies and combustable materials. Keep out of reach of children. |
Personal protection when handling undiluted product: Goggles or face mask, synthetic wear or rain wear, boots, rubber or synthetic gloves. |
Observe the following: The product is irritating, very close to corrosive, to skin, eyes and mucous membranes in undiluted form only. As soon as the product has been diluted with water the immediate irritating/corrosive property dissappears. A 10% Perapid solution in Water contains about 2% active Hydrogen Peroxide. For reference, normal mouth washes contain 3% active Hydrogen Peroxide. The product will react with all microbiological growth and bacteria. |
Technical data Perapid ES contains Hydrogen Peroxide 10-20%, Peroxide resistant wetting agent and Stabilizer. |
