CHEMEAST In Service Scale Remover (ISSR)

Description

A complex-forming combination for the gradual removal of mineral deposits from water systems. Forms a stable, water-soluble combination with minerals allowing them to be removed by blow down or water change, The product works in two ways:

  1. It chemically binds the hardness salts, preventing precipitation or deposition.
  2. At cleaning dosages it dissolves already deposited hardness salts for gradual removal by blow down.

ISSR is safe for all metals in water systems. During ISSR cleaning other treatments are not maintained. As soon as cleaning period is over the standard treatment can be started without complete water change.

Use instructions :

Boilers:

Daily dosage 1-2 ltr/m3 boiler water. Double the bow down. pH level to be maintained between 9-11.0. Conductivity to be kept at maximum at 12000 µS/cm. Regulate by increasing or decreasing blow downs. A lower dosage cleans in a longer time. Minimum cleaning period is 30 days with a higher dosage. During ISSR cleaning a daily addition of 100grams/m3 of oxygen control is highly recommended as it improves the cleaning and gives an added metal protection.

When cleaning boilers over 20 bar pressure contact our representative for tailored dosing instructions.

Separator water :

Dose 100 ml daily into the water tank until your system is clean. You can maintain separator water systems trouble-free by a maintenance dosage of 50 ml per day.

Cooling water systems :

Rinse the system before starting ISSR cleaning. This is to remove loose sludge normally existing in a cooling water system.

Maintain normal nitrite based treatment at level 1500-2000 mg/l.

Dose ISSR, initially 2 ltr/m3 of cooling water and maintain thereafter a daily dosage of 1 ltr/m3 cooling water. Change 25% of the cooling water weekly and adjust the lost nitrite level. Maintain pH between 8-9. If necessary to adjust downward do it with small (100g at a time) dosages of Rust Remover B.

Cleaning time minimum 30 days. (30-90 days, depending on the thickness of the scale)

Cleaning of cooling water systems is much more problematic than that of boilers or other water systems. Do discuss with our representative for all aspects to be considered for successful and trouble-free cleaning.
