CWT-ES is another star water treatment product from MTT. Latest top chemical technology incorporated into vast experience in corrosion control in technical water systems. CWT ES offers you everything that could ever be asked for of a closed water circuit corrosion inhibitor. With a small dosage CWT ES keep your system free of corrosion for all metal combinations, free of mineral deposits and free of environmental or other safety concerns. All biodegradable and far less toxic than any previously used nitrite based compound

The different components form a synergistic inhibitor that functions over wide pH range. It protects multimetal constructions from typical galvanic corrosion. It prevents scaling through mineral depositing. It is not sensitive to bacteria or oxygen. It does not contribute to blockages in narrow water passages like nozzle channels because treatment level allows for very much smaller solid content.

The undiluted product is, due its concentrated strength, corrosive to skin and mucous membranes, but the diluted solution is harmless by any safety criterion . There are no cumulative elements or mutagens.

As a combined product CWT ES gives excellent protection at very low dosages for all metals used in engine construction, and their combinations. Especially metallic copper is completely inhibited, preventing, for instance, detrimental galvanic cells between copper and aluminum. Copper dissolution starts already at pH 9.3 and accelerates as the pH rises. Practically the same applies to aluminum. In CWT ES treatment all these problems are removed. Very sensitive systems can be operated without corrosion risks at neutral pH and predominately steel systems can be operated at higher pH values to give optimum corrosion protection for steel. You, however, never need go over pH 9 unless this is desired for a particular reason.

CWT ES protects your system for a long time with a normal small initial dosage. Added product is needed to compensate for water losses during repairs or water changes for other reasons. If there is no particular water change in your system you will manage with 15 liters of CWT ES per m3 per year.

Normal initial and quarter yearly dosage is 5 ltr per m3 water volume in your system. Should you have frequent liner overhauls, dosing is advised every second month. There is no danger of over-dosing or under-dosing as the inhibiting components are effective already at concentration of 20 mg/l while a minimum for nitrite is 600 mg/l and normal 1500 mg/l.

Testing:

pH, Hardness and conductivity will be tested with dip slide/ conductivity meter test kit. Chlorides will be tested only as indicated in the cooling water treatment log. Chlorides will be tested with Saltesmo dip strip. No colorimetric tests are necessary. To ensure the result of the treatment the Iron contents of the cooling water is tested monthly with Iron test strip, Quantofix 100.

Standard tests are recommended once a week.
