| An oxidising acid based pickling product applied to stainless steel surfaces. | |
| Product description | |
| For chemical pickling of austenitic and duplex stainless steels. Contains nitric acid, hydrofluoric acid and effective surfactants. Use to remove pitting rust, welding and other heavy discolourisation, free iron and burn marks. Use where Alubrite Liquid R is less effective. | |
| Directions for use Use only on the inside of stainless steel tanks. Before use tank must be clean, dry and free of old cargoes.Product is applied undiluted. Always use full personal protection including air line face mask. Use by spraying with full acid resistant equipment. Ensure all wetted parts are either stainless steel or compatible synthetic materials such as PTFE or polypropylene. Allow contact times of 30 to 120 minutes for 316L. Use at ambient temperature, do not heat. Do not allow to dry. After pickling, rinse to neutral with demin-water, either circulating or jetting. Do not spatter product. Check for stains after full ventilation and no trace of fumes. If stains are removed, follow up with alkaline deodorising if necessary. |

| Safety data | Product is corrosive and toxic to humans. Do not use without proper protective clothing, respirators and ventilation. Store away from bases and reducing agents in tightly closed container. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing. Do not breathe vapour. Can cause serious burns which may be irreversible in nature. |
