Toni was born in Split, Croatia. He played for Yugoslavia in the Olympics. He was thought to be the best player of Europe. He had many fans back in Europe. Some of his nicknames are Kuki, The Spider of Split, The pink panther, and the Waiter. When he first came to America to play for the Bulls there were many times when he wanted to go back to Europe. At first he did not get along with Scottie Pippen very well, Scottie was upset because Toni made more money than him and many people still believe that he thinks the same way today. There were also many rude and un called for remarks made by Scottie Pippen and Michael Jordon at the Olympics this summer. But Toni has said before that things are getting better even though many times he has said he thinks that he would have been better off in Europe. When Toni was first asked to come to the bulls he was ment to replace Michael who retired, but then Michael came back and Toni was put on the bench. Toni has said before that he does not like coming off of the bench and it shows in his performances that he plays much better when he starts , but for now Toni will have to settle coming off of the bench. This is Toni's last year in his five year contract. But I think that the Bulls will want him back because they will need someone to replace Michael and Scottie when they retire. Some people don't relize but Toni is a very important factor in the Chicago Bulls.
