WELCOME TO THE LAND OF P-PHI

The P.O.S.S.E. was founded on the campus of Alcorn State University in 1989 by four distinguished women of the Greater Gulf Coast. They were Yolanda Osborne, Valerie Payton, Tanja Smith, and Kim Giles. In 1995,and being led by Tara Payton, Alicia Payton and Sherlette Smith, it branched off as P-Phi Fratority, when six men and three women gathered in a bond of unity. This included: Jessica Buck, Rolonda Greenwood, Sophia Johnson, Mack Liddell, Clarence Harris, Terrel Harrison, Rodney Jones, Patrick Morgan, and Lamond Perkins. In 1996, P-Phi Fratority was incorporated and claimed its headquarters in Jackson, Mississippi. The purpose of P-Phi Fratority Inc. is to wild out by nature and not flunk out. The bold colors are red and black. Red stands for the brightness, for we will be lamps. Black represents darkness because through darkness, our lamps will surely shine.

The greatness that is P-Phi continues to grow with each passing year. With the approach of each spring, a new breed is tried... tested... and initiated into our ever-growing family. At this time, we will allow you to take a glimpse into our lives... our hearts... our family!!
