MS 178's western terminus is at the Tennessee State Line near Olive Branch. State maintainence of MS 178 ends between the MS 302 overpass and the Germantown Road overpass in Olive Branch. There is no state signage for MS 178 in Holly Springs. State maintainance of MS 178 restarts at the Holly Springs City Limits. Looking westbound toward Holly Springs. This section of MS 178 ends at US 45 in Tupelo. MS 178 is discontinuous from here to MS 6. Looking south on US 45 toward MS 178. There is no shield on the wire-hung signs. MS 178's western terminus is at MS 6 in Tupelo. MS 178 is dissigned as continuing east, MDOT discontinued maintaining that section, except for the part along MS 363. End of old highway 78 approaching the Tennessee-Tombigbee waterway. You might be able to identify the Ford dealership on MS 178 on the other side of the waterway. MS 178 resumes at Access Rd. in Fulton. The Ford dealership mentioned above is behind the camera. Warning sign just east of MS 23 on MS 178. There are no MS 178 signs from the MS 23 S intersection to the end of MS 178. Eastern terminus of MS 178. There is a truck lane that began just after the "Road Closed" sign on the right. A locked gate in front of the truck lane keeps people from accessing US 78, which is just over the hill. You can hear the traffic on US 78 from here. |
