WIGGINS FIRE DEPARTMENT
Wiggins is located just north of
the Mississippi Gulf Coast on US Highway
49. Personnel of Wiggins Fire Department
consists of 3 fulltime Firefighter/
EMT-Basics and 19 volunteers, which
include: 1 paramedic, 7 EMT-Basics and
6 First Responders.
City of Wiggins Fire Department
proudly protects approximately 5000
people living in an area of 20 square
miles. We operate out of 1 station that
protect both industrial and residential
areas. Our department is a public
department whose members are on a
combination of paid and volunteer
status. We currently maintain a class 7
insurance rating from the state rating
bureau for the City of Wiggins.
The Wiggins Fire Department is
responsible for Fire protection for the
City of Wiggins and a five mile
perimeter outside the city limits in
Stone County. We also provide EMS for
the entire Stone County area including
the City of Wiggins. We also serve
mutual aid for 7 volunteer fire
departments in rural Stone County and
surrounding areas.
