Soldier of Light
The Soldier of Light Part I
"Blast those meddling Sailor Scouts!" cried a livid Queen Beryl. "They have foiled every attempt of my minions to gather the shards of the Imperial Silver Crystal. Those five brats must be stopped. MALACITE! Come here at once."
In a wisp of smoke, the servant of darkness appeared before Beryl, "Yes my Queen?"
"I want you to continue the work started by the others, destroy those Sailor Scouts and retrieve MY Imperial Silver Crystal, understand?"
"Yes my Queen," he said before vanishing.
"Perhaps now those Sailor-brats will meet their match," she thought.
"So Luna, how are we doin?" asked Serena.
"Well, so far so good, you have managed to ward off Queen Beryl at every attempt to collect the pieces of the Silver Crystal. But, we are not close to finishing our task, the more we fight, the more cunning Beryl and her minions will be."
"Yeah, yeah, yeah," said Serena, shrugging her off.
"Look Serena, you have got to take this seriously, or else Beryl will easily pick you off!" cried Luna, sensing her arrogance.
"Why are you so worried Luna, between the five of us, none of those Nega-creeps could even touch us!" Luna sighed as Serena finished getting ready for her day, and hurriedly ran off to join her friends.
Serena met the others just outside her house, and as she joined them, the five began their seemingly long trek to the mall. On the way, they passed Serena's neighbor's house, and as if on cue, a golden retriever whirled by Lita. Before her or the others could notice anything, a young man smashed into Lita, bringing them both to the ground, him landing on top of her. Time seemed to slow down to a complete stop as the two total strangers gazed into each other's eyes. Lita into his peculiar yellow eyes, and the stranger into Lita's beautiful green eyes. The dog returned to its owner and began barking and licking his and then Lita's face. This seemed to throw things back into motion, as the young man helped Lita to her feet.
"I-I apologize, Gidget here has a mind of her own," he said with a chuckle.
"Aww Chad, I have always told you how wild she was," said Serena, giggling.
The others looked at her inquisitively, "You know this guy?" asked Raye, abruptly.
The young man laughed, and said, "Hi everybody, I'm Chad."
"Yeah, sorry I haven't introduced you, this is my new friend Chad, we've been neighbors for two weeks," said Serena.
"And this..." began Chad, kneeling and petting his golden retriever, "is Gidget." The girls introduced themselves one-by-one to Chad, Lita waiting until last.
Sensing something might be wrong, Chad walked over to her and inquired, "Are you alright? I am really sorry about that."
"Wow, this guy looks just like...No, he doesn't look like my old boyfriend, but wait, what am I thinking, doesn't everybody...He is kinda cute though," thought Lita. "No, I'm okay," she said, hesitantly.
"HEY, how about you come to the mall with us!" chirped Serena.
"I don't know guys..."
"Oh c'mon Chad, it'll be fun," encouraged Mina.
It wasn't long before the six of them went thru their day. Chad spent most of the time getting to know the girls and trying to avoid being caught staring at Lita. Little did he know that whenever he turned his head away, Lita would also steal the same glances at him. This went on for most of the day before someone noticed, that someone being Serena. She wondered what was going on at first, and then after finding out, pondered whether or not either one knew what was taking place. Serena picked a moment after both had just caught their own glances, to let out a long giggle. Both Lita and Chad turned white, and thinking that they were caught, swallowed hard and continued walking.
"What's so funny anyway Serena?" asked Raye.
Glancing to the embarrassed Lita, and then to Chad, she replied, "Oh, nothing, hee hee."
Meanwhile in the Negaverse, Malachite summoned forth a monster to do battle with the Scouts.
"Dragler, come forth!" he sounded. In a flash of light, a demon appeared before Malachite, she appeared roughly human, with an extremely pale face, an insect-like carapace, and two tremendous wings.
"You summoned me," she said with a buzzing in her sinister voice.
"Yes I did, you the first I shall send to do battle with the Sailor Scouts, serve your Queen well and do not fail."
Nodding, she hummed, "Yes master."
As Dragler turned, Malachite called, "Wait. Before you go, take heed. These girls aren't pushovers, they've beaten nearly all of Queen Beryl's elite soldiers."
"I understand."
"Then go, and retrieve the Silver Crystal."
"Yes master, I shall not fail," she said, vanishing.
Malachite slowly turned and looked down, "Let us hope you do not..."
"Well, thanks for inviting me along you guys, it was fun, we have to do it again sometime," said Chad as they walked to his house. Everyone nodded, then said their good-byes, and before the five girls walked off, Lita walked over to Chad.
"It was nice m-meeting you Chad."
"Oh, y-yeah, same here, hope we see each other again r-real soon."
Lita hurried off after the others as Chad slowly walked into his house, but not before looking over to Lita one more time. Just as Serena and the others walked to here door, Luna came rushing out in a panic, followed shortly by Airtimes.
"Hey guys, what's wrong?" asked Mina.
"Girls, we've got trouble," spoke Airtimes.
"Yes Scouts, there is a Negaverse monster terrorizing the mall area!" cried Luna.
"Well back to the mall huh? No objections here," said Lita with a laugh. The five quickly ran to an alleyway, and once there, transformed into their alter egos, the Sailor Scouts.
Dragler flew around the two-story mall, thrashing about and devastating anything and everything in sight. Suddenly, she stopped as five shadowy figures appeared behind her.
"We fight for love, justice, and in the name of the moon, we will punish evildoers and that means you!" called Sailor Moon, her and the others in their usual pose.
"Sorry girls, but I'm just too much to handle, why don't you just hand over the crystal now and save me the trouble of killing you."
Mars stepped up, "No chance Nega-trash, MARS FIRE...IGNITE!!" The fireball flew at Dragler with great speed, but she evaded by taking to the air. Once high enough, her wings began moving faster, and faster, until she yelled, "WING WAVE!" A massive green whirlwind emanated from her insectoid wings that took the others off guard, forcing them against the ground. Slowly pushing herself up against the titanic force, Jupiter aimed as best she could and then powered up, "JUPITER...THUNDER CRASH!!" The mighty bolts hurled into the wind, and after much struggling, began moving the their way, the intense winds had driven down the Thunder Crash!
"What?! Now way!" cried Jupiter. Suddenly, the wind picked her up and threw the brave Scout upward. Lita was whisked high into the air, the others became but a blur as her altitude increased. Soon, she was falling, falling for an eternity it seemed, Jupiter knew she had no hope of rescue, but she called anyway.
"Lita...NO!" cried Sailor Moon, trying to push herself up.
Just as Jupiter was about to hit the cold pavement outside the nearby window, a white blur caused her to vanish. Everyone was surprised by this, even Dragler who halted her assault.
"It's Tuxedo Mask, he's here to help us!" called Sailor Moon happily.
"Sorry to disappoint you," a deep voice boomed. The others turned to see a tall figure in awesome white armor, obviously modeled after that of a samurai. The suit was all white, except for the visor of his great helmet, which was orange, and the underside of his massive cape, which was black. The four gawked wide-eyed at this mysterious stranger. As did Lita, who looked up into the warrior's yellowish eyes from below. He had the semi-conscious Sailor Jupiter in his arms, and slowly brought her to the others. Gently resting her on the floor, he spoke in his deep, echoing, almost dark voice, "Take care of her." Outraged at being completely ignored, Dragler swooped down and delivered a mighty blow to the back of this warrior. He stood still, as if the punch had not occurred, and slowly the stranger turned and drew the hilt to a bladeless sword. The monster backed off and watched in awe, as a blade of pure energy erupted from this hilt though it were made of the wildest of wildfires.
Within seconds, the flames formed a perfect white blade to this radical weapon.
"Your time has come to an end. These five are under the protection of the Solar Sailor, which means you must now contend with me!" Poising himself, this 'Solar Sailor' struck Dragler with a crippling terror, and this was just the beginning...

The Soldier of Light Part II
"Hmph! You think you can just show up here in some flashy suit of armor and save the day!" shouted Dragler.
"Actually...yes, I do," he replied, with a calm swerve. Taking to the air, she again employed the Wing Wave attack. The already weakened Scouts were thrown back to the ground, but the Solar Sailor leapt in front of them to give defense. Dragler was shocked to see not so much as an effort from Solar to keep himself up, it was as if the attack had zero effect.
His glare intensified, "Are you quite done stirring up dust?!" Enraged by this cheap shot to her pride, Dragler picked up the pace, putting everything she had into the attack.
Sailor Moon craned her neck to look behind her and felt herself about to be blown away, "GUYS, ARE YOU ALRIGHT BACK THERE??"
Mars looked up and yelled, "DO YOU THINK WE'RE ALRIGHT BACK HERE, MEATBALL HEAD!!"
Slowly turning, the Solar Sailor boomed, "GET BEHIND ME, ALL OF YOU, YOU'LL BE SAFER THERE!" The winds became worse as the five girls slowly pulled themselves behind the mysterious warrior. The Solar Sailor held his sword within both hands, and suddenly his body frame began to shine in a blinding white light. Dragler ceased her attack as the Negaverse demon shielded her eyes from the blinding luminescence.
"Time to meet your end, insect." he said in his direct, horrifyingly deep tone. This being said, the Solar Sailor left the ground in a flying leap toward the monster. Dragler looked up in pure, unadulterated fear, she could do nothing but hover there. After reaching his desired height, far above Dragler, the armor-clad wonder came soaring down, Solar Sabre ready. In a blinding flash of yellow light, Dragler screamed, and then fell to the ground, and a few seconds later, her insectoid wings landed beside the wounded creature. Dragler quivered in a combination of pain and shock, as the Solar Sailor landed beside her.
"I am the Solar Sailor, and I am here to see that the Sailor Scouts triumph over the Negaverse without fail!"
Solar poised himself, lunged above the fallen Dragler, and cried, "SOLAR SLASH!" The warrior then made four, intricate slashes into the creature. Then, four yellow lines appeared where Solar had cut, and afterward a huge cry of pain flew out from Dragler, as her body was torn apart by the four slices. This mystified everyone; Sailor Moon pulled herself up, jaw agape as the remains of Dragler formed into bits of blue moon dust.
After turning and glancing once at Sailor Moon, he spoke, "Do not worry, I am here to aid you as I told the creature. When you are in danger, I shall rise to your defense...Farewell." Saying this, the figure vanished into the night from a nearby exit.
The girls collected themselves and could only stand in wonder at this shocking scene.
Their silent thought was finally broken by Sailor Moon, "Are you alright Jupiter?"
Lita slowly nodded her head, "Yeah, just a little shook up that's all." Suddenly, something caught Lita's eye, "Chad?" She ran over to the downed person, and sure enough, behind a corner laid Chad, visibly exhausted, sweat pouring down his flushed face.
The others quickly joined Lita, as she helped him to his feet, "What are you doing here?"
"Well," began Chad, catching his breath, "I was just here and then the monster attacked and I tried to help when I was knocked out." As Chad turned to look at the Scouts, his eyes met those of Jupiter. He gazed into them inquisitively for a great deal of time before Mars broke the silence.
"You had better get home and rest," she said.
Returning to his senses, Chad spat out, "Y-Yeah, I will..." As he slowly walked off, sometimes turning to look back at Jupiter, Sailor Mercury walked over to her.
"Lita," she whispered, "What was that all about?"
"I don't...OH NO!" she cried.
This alerted the others, "What's wrong Jupiter," asked Venus.
"Earlier today, when we fell, the same thing happened, I mean the whole eye thing...Maybe...Maybe he knows it's me..."
The others thought for a moment, then Sailor Moon spoke, "Don't worry, Chad probably thought you looked familiar, forget it, there's no way he could tell who you were."
Sighing, Lita lowered her head, "I hope your right."
Lita tossed and turned in her bed, images of the day penetrating her subconscious mind. As Sailor Jupiter, she ran about in a fury, trying desperately to go toe-to-toe with Dragler. Lita suddenly dove at the beast with a jump kick, right on target. A double-fisted smash, a roundhouse kick, another, and now to finish the job, she drew back her arms, the antenna rising.
"JUPITER THUNDER CRASH!!!" Lita hurled the bolts toward the stunned Dragler, expecting a total knockout. Suddenly, the Negaverse monster dove into the air, dodging the onslaught completely. She then employed the Wing Wave attack, which immediately threw the Sailor Scout to the ground. Lita screamed with pain as she felt her body being crushed by the massive downpour of wind. Suddenly, just as she thought her body would give out, a white light appeared above Dragler. With it came the Solar Sailor, which drove the glowing Sabre into Dragler's back, disintegrating her. He then landed right next to her maxed out body, and lifted her into his arms. Solar and Lita looked at each other for sometime, before he returned her to the ground. She looked at him in wonder, as he began unclipping the back of his helmet. Lita waited with great anticipation as Solar lift off his helmet to reveal...A bright flash was Lita's exit from the dream world and her ticket back to reality.
She sat up in her bed, then punched it in aggravation, "Darn, the third time I've had this dream tonight, I'll never get any sleep at this rate!"
No sooner, than her head fell back upon the pillow, than Lita was brought completely from her sleep by a loud crash just outside her door. Clad only in a T-shirt and a pair of gym shorts, Lita ran to her door to investigate. Just as she made it to her door, it was blown into the room, carrying Lita into the wall with it. Crushed between the door and the wall, Lita collapsed onto the floor in a daze. She looked up to see the blurry figure of Malachite standing in the doorway.
Lita immediately got into a wobbly fighting stance, "Y-you...what're you doing here..."
Malachite laughed at her misfortune, "I have a little business to finish from earlier, you think you can take me on?" Lita would have answered her, if she hadn't dropped to the floor in a heap. Malachite slowly walked over to the struggling Lita, who had been wiped out from the hit she'd already taken.
The white-haired fiend lifted Lita by the throat and laughed in her face, "And your the strongest of the five Scouts, I think those two cats would have given me a better fight!"
Just then, a loud crash was heard, as shards of broken glass flew into the room. Alarmed, Malachite turned to see the Solar Sailor, who had shattered the glass door to Lita's balcony in his entrance.
"Release her...NOW!" demanded the Solar Sailor, brandishing his glowing Sabre.
Smiling wickedly, Malachite tossed Lita aside, "There, I released her. Happy now?"
"No, not yet...I still have to kill you." Solar lunged at Malachite, swinging the Sabre in an attempt to behead him. This attempt failed, as Malachite dodged, and then plunged his energy-powered fist into Solar's armored ribcage. Even with his great white armor, this blow was felt, as was the blast that threw Solar across the room. Before the Solar Sailor could return to his feet, Malachite flew above him, and already had a firm grip on his knee and thigh. "You think you're so strong and brave. Well, let's see if you still feel that way when you're dead!" With that, Malachite lifted and began spinning Solar. Lita looked up dreamily, just as Malachite hurled the Solar Sailor thru the wall and out the side of the building. Solar started his thirteen-story fall as Malachite laughed from above.
