From The Editor...
I have been overwhelmed by the success of my
website. I received over 10,000 hits in
the first week! Now, I know that not
everyone loves the site, but I have received far more positive than negative
feedback.
Obviously, not everyone has sent me
feedback, so I would like to explain my motivation for building this site. First of all, for all the Ole Miss fans that
sent me hateful email accusing me of being obsessed or envious of the Rebels,
well, you couldn’t be more wrong. My
wife is an Ole Miss graduate, and most of my family is, as well. I regularly attend athletic events at Ole
Miss. So, you see, I know what I’m
talking about when I lampoon Ole Miss fans.
Many times I have seen
“commentaries” posted on OMSN or on the Ole Miss Spirit Websites that have been
hateful in nature without as much as a shred of truth in them. The people who run those sites, and the
people who post to them, are consumed by hatred toward Mississippi State. The editors of those sites should be ashamed
of the poison that gets posted on there.
My site won’t do that. My goal is to lampoon the Ole Miss fan. It’s all done with tongue firmly in cheek,
and nothing on the site should ever be construed as otherwise. I assure you that I will never write a “commentary”
about a rumored NCAA investigation chock full of lies and innuendo during the
heaviest recruiting period of the year with the defined purpose of undermining
another school’s recruiting efforts.
Keep checking back, because I will
be updating the site as often as possible.
I hope to update the site twice a month during the summer, but it will
pick up to once a week during football season, when the real funny material will
start rolling in.
