This section will be updated regularly. Every month or so I will review a book (Or series of books) I particularly enjoyed. Because this is the first month of the happening I will enjoy a favorite set of books, written by Stephen R. Donaldson, in a series called "Mordant's Need". You can purchase these books and many others at Barnes and Noble. I recommend BN because I've purchased from them before and everything arrived in order.

Mordant's Need #1: The Mirror of Her Dreams

Copyright 1986 by Stephen R. Donaldson, 627 pgs in paperback

BOOKCOVER EXPLANATION:

The Mirror of Her Dreams is the story of Terisa Morgan and Geraden, son of the Domne, in the strange land called Mordant. It is a rich and finely textured novel of love and lust, power and court politics, in this place where nothing is ever what it seems...and reality intertwines with powerfully seductive illusion.

The Mirror of Her Dreams is a novel by Stephen R. Donaldson. It is a shining example of his gift as a master storyteller, a gift that has mesmerized millions since the publication of The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant...a gift that will continue to enchant readers for years to come!

"Donaldson has written a work of compelling power, with a large cast of vivid characters and a spare, witty prose style that is a revelation. A memorable tale from a major American fantasy writer."

MY OWN REVIEW:

This book is one of the best I've read, and has been a favorite for years. It begins in the life of Terisa Morgan, daughter of a rich man, and yet she is desperately unhappy. The magic of a world unknown to her, Mordant, comes to her through a mirror in the form of Geraden, a man destined to change her life. It follows her story as she ventures into Mordant, a world in turmoil, and a place of powerful imagers wanting to take it over. She and Geraden must try to help save Mordant, if ever peace is to be restored.

I highly suggest reading it!!!

And Terisa knew that Eremiswould use all the evil means at his disposal to insure the success of hos master plan, which meant that the kingdom would be lost and she and Geraden would surely die.

MY OWN REVIEW:

This second great book in the two book series is in some ways even better then the first. It shows the two main characters, Terisa and Geraden, discovering their hidden potentials that have only been discovered by them and the true evils that lurk in the land of Mordant. Open this book and take a journy into another land.
