Well, we had another great match! The weather was perfect, the bugs were somewhere else, and we all had a great time!
The first stage was the classifier "El Presidente'", where shooters start facing the spectators in surrender position, turn and engage 3 targets with 2 rounds each, reload, and engage the 3 targets again with 2 rounds each. A fun and challenging stage which tests the shooters basic skill level. Here's a First Person Shooter view of the action;
The second stage was called "So Near, So Far". The shooters started out engaging 2 targets from 100 feet away, using any firing position, then running forward to another position 60 feet from two more targets, then running again to engage 3 more targets 30 feet away. The challenge was that the targets were so far away, the shooters could not see if they had hit the scoring zone or not. They had to try to call their shots from the sight picture at the moment they broke the shot. A very handy skill, if you have it!
.
Another stage was called "Ammo Delivery". The shooters had to jump off the back of a truck, grab a 25 lb can of ammo, and run about 50 feet to a barricade, shooting 3 targets on the run, then engaging 4 more from behind the barricade...here's what it looked like;
and here's a First Person View
We also had some fun with carbines, shooting zombies as many times as it took to stop their brain-gobbling ways, then transitioning to a pistol to finish them off! Lot's O fun...check it out!
We'll have more images after the smoke clears at our next match!
