The weather was terrific, the grass was getting greener, and the wind was pleasant. We had ten shooters show up for 4 fun stages of fireand good conversation. Sadly, no lunch this time...Johney couldn't make it to this one.
The first stage was the classifier Times Two, where shooters start in firing position, engage 3 targets with 2 rounds each, then run to another firing box about 30 feet away, where they engage 3 more targets with 2 rounds each. A fun and challenging stage which tests your ability to acquire good fundamentals and reload while moving. We also had a unique stage, never done at our club before...a running target! It was a standard size target which would run from right to left at about 6 miles per hour. Shooters only had about 4.5 seconds to draw, acquire a sight picture, and pump 4 rounds into the target before it was behind cover - very tough! Here's a video or 2;

We also had some fun with shotguns, shooting steel plates with birdshot...the challenge was, the shooters started with an empty shotgun, and had to load on the run!
