There was this gracious lady mailing a Bible to her brother in another part of the country. "Is there anything breakable in here?" asked the postal clerk. "Only the Ten Commandments" answered the lady. "Life is 10% of what happens to you, and 90% of how you react to it." "Life is like an onion; you peel off one layer at a time and sometimes you weep." "If smiles were diamonds, how rich would you be?" "When a church seeks a pastor, they want the strength of an eagle, the grace of a swan, the gentleness of a dove, the friendliness of a sparrow, and the night hours of an owl. And when they catch the bird, they expect the pastor to live on the food of a canary." (All copied from Catahoula Baptist Church Bulletin) |
Please don't forget to pray. Praying is our communication with God. Without it where would any of us be. View the Prayer List here. Please use your back button on your browser to return here. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ When we pray for rain we must be willing to put up with some mud. ++++ Something To Think About ++++ Max Jukes lived in New York. He didn't believe in Christianity and especially in Christian training, refused to take his children to church even when they asked to go. He has had 1,026 descendants. 300 were sent to prison for an average term of 13 years. 190 were public prostitutes. 680 were admitted alcoholics. His family thus far has cost the state $4,200,000. They made no contribution to society. Jonathan Edwards lived in the same state at the same time. He loved the Lord and saw his children were in church each Sunday as he served the Lord to the best of his ability. He has 929 descendants. Of these 430 were ministers, 86 became university professors and 13 became university presidents. 75 authored good books. 5 were elected to the United States Congress and 2 to the Senate. One was Vice-president of this nation. His family never cost the state one dollar, but has contributed immeasurably to the life of plenty you and I lead today. What will you pass on to this succeeding generation? Will it be an asset or a liability to the nation? Will you rally to the cause of Christ and set an example for your home? --Selected

The Story of Michelle The story of Michelle is an inspiring one. This woman traveled an incredible path of physical abuse, drug and alcohol addiction and even prostitution. At the end of her path she found God. Read her story HERE. The one song I felt suited this story was Amazing Grace. Click on the link to hear the music and sing along. |
