As I look at all
The beauty and fame
I wonder why we try so hard
To be this image,this game
Do looks really matter to the point
Where it captivates a person so much,
To fall in lust with some "gracious goddess"
That they will never be able to touch?
Why do we admire a person
By just the fact that they are pretty?
I often think that about those lost souls
And my heart goes out to them with great pitty.
Why do we obsess over a body
When every person has one?
Why do we watch every appearence they make
When we could be making appearences of our own?
Why tell yourself you'll be with them
When you know it isn't true?
Do you really think you have a chance?
Now tell me,really do you?
I feel sorry for anyone who feels
A "goddess" will give them the time of day.
I want nothing to do with a person obsessed with image.
And that is all I have to say.
