The sun is so hot
As you walk across your beach.
You want water so badly
But,good water is so hard to reach.
The water you see
From your beach so white,
Is not a shade of blue.
It can't be from all your strife.
You continue walking
As you look for more hope.
But,the tide comes in much further
And it makes it more difficult to cope.
As you look ahead
You see a huge boulder.
You proceed in deep thought
As the air gets much colder.
Your beach gets much smaller
As the sun gradually goes down.
You can't help yourself but wonder
What lies past what you've found.
The waves beat harder
Against your exhausted feet.
This has been a long, hard journey
And you're overwelmed with defeat.
You come to the mass
As it lies right in front of you.
You look to the left, then to the right
And realize you don't know what to do.
You cry out for help
As if you were insane.
No one hears you.No one cares.
No one can feel your pain.
You hurry into the water
Just at the end of day.
The moonlight shows a griefstricken path
As the waters take you away.
