last friendship block on the quilt is Chickie's Garden, made by
Constance, the character played by Kate Nelligan...To me, this block is
the most important block in the quilt and carries a strong quilt story
which didn't get picked up in the movie. It is representative of the
rose garden Constance's husband planted and in which their dog, Chickie
is buried. It is a yellow rose garden and she makes the flowers out of
