3x02 Paperclip
Written by: Chris Carter
Rating: 5/6

Mulder bursts into his apartment just in time to take Scully's side and point his gun on Skinner. So cute the way Mulder and Scully trust each other implicitly. Scully is reserved with Mulder but we know she doesn't want to be...she just tells him that she knew he was okay. They go into a dark room in a dark warehouse where they...find lots and lots of files (what'd you think I was going to say?!). Mulder goes to Scully's file before he goes to Samantha's! Looks like he has a new loyalty. Mulder tells Scully that this is about Fate, and they hug.

3x03 D.P.O.
Written by: Howard Gordon
Rating: 5/6

Mulder lets Scully get reamed by a Sheriff! That's not very nice. But maybe he has enough faith in her abilities that she can handle it on her own. Scully is irked but in a nice way, and the Sheriff gets electrocuted later, anyway.

When Scully starts feeling creeped out at a prison Mulder just looks at her face...or maybe he feels her aura, and he knows something's wrong. He knows her so well! And we learn that he probably remembered Scully's birthday this year (at least, he hopes he did).

The Walk Ad

Mulder and Scully work well together when they go up against some uptight military guys. When they get separated, Scully wants to stop a guy from killing another guy...but if she had succeeded in stopping this murder Mulder would likely be dead. Interesting pathos...

3x07 Oubliette
Written by: Charles Grant Craig
Rating: 7

Oubliette Ad

Mulder's a little too protective of a woman who is eerily connected to a kidnapping victim. Mulder has been bitten by the protective-guy syndrome, and obsessively tries to revive a girl who is obviously dead. Scully tries to talk sense into him, but he physically slaps her hands away! But she doesn't blame him for it, because she knows it's Samantha that he sees lying there.

Mulder and Scully banter about his choice of video entertainment. They get different stories about the same train car. Mulder jumps onto the moving train even though Scully warns him not to. He loses his cell phone--serves him right.

Mulder and Scully again see proof of what they each want to believe. Still, Scully watches the alien autopsy video over and over again to save Mulder from a bomb (just watch the episode, it'll make more sense then). We love X.

3x11 Revelations
Written by: Kim Newton
Rating: 5

Mulder complains that Scully never draws his bath. This time Scully is Miss Believer and Mulder is Mr. Skeptic. Well, it wouldn't be as interesting if they were Mr. and Mrs. Believer, would it? Well, just the Mr. and Mrs. part.

3.13 War of the Coprophrages

Rating: 8

War of the Coprophrages Ad

Mulder wants Scully to help him with his case until he meets a beautiful doctor. Scully doesn't want to go help him until she learns he's met a brainy scientist woman named Bambi, then she can't get to him fast enough. Mulder indulges his crush, and even hangs up on Scully before she can say hello. At the end of the episode he tells her she stinks.

3.13 Syzygy
Written by: Chris Carter
Rating: 7/8

Scully is in jealous mode all episode. Who can blame her when the Bambi thing just happened last ep? She thinks Mulder wants to get it on with Detective White (and I have to admit he was a bad boy for leading her on) but when White throws herself onto a bed with him all he can talk about is what's on television. Then Scully walks in on them. Oops! She stalks out, really pissed. Mulder wants to explain! But she won't listen to him and this makes him mad and he makes fun of her height. He likes a perfume but doesn't realize that it's not worn by a woman! Mulder seems EXTREMELY dejected when Scully goes off on him about Detective White. Scully smokes in her motel room muttering about this other woman while Mulder mixes a very very ghetto screwdriver. Yuck!

Grotesque Ad

Scully freaks out when Mulder starts going into the mind of a killer. She reams the guy she thinks is responsible for Mulder's mind torture. She wants to know why he's carrying his cell phone if he's just going to leave it off, and complains that she hasn't seen or spoken to him in two whole days! But she's not really mad at him at all--she just wants to save him from the bad people.

3.15 Piper Maru

Piper Maru Ad

Mulder randomly ditches Scully to follow at lead to Hong Kong. She's a powerful woman but she doesn't turn Mulder on. Scully is mad that they have closed her sister's case, but she still smiles when she's with Mulder. We can tell she greatly respects and even admires him. Krycek shows up again and looks hot in his leather jacket. Mulder seems a little too uncontrolled.

3.16 Apocrypha
Written by: Frank Spotnitz & Chris Carter

Mulder and Scully have a hospital moment (do I even need to define?) when Mulder recovers from being thrown out of a van. They share an intimate moment in the cemetery when Scully visits her sister's grave.

3.17 Pusher
Written by: Vince Gilligan
Rating: 9

Pusher Ad

SHIPPERS AHOY! When Mulder is about to go after a known killer, he gives his gun to Scully and all she can manage is a shaky smile, more for his sake than hers. She wants to be brave but really wants to cry. Mulder gives her an adorable look and they clasp hands. Scully freaks out when Mulder's video headset gets grabbed off, and is off the surveillance van before the other guys even know what's happening. Mulder's mind gets taken over and it is very difficult for him to control any of his actions. It is obvious that he finds more will power to resist pulling the trigger on Scully than on himself. Scully flips out in anger and panic when Mulder pulls the trigger at his temple. She wants Modell dead. Mulder and Scully sneak in a furtive little hand hold at the end. Now I have to go watch it.

Mulder and Scully are funny man and woman in black! Scully tells of waking up in her hotel room with Mulder inside (while the person she tells raises an eyebrow). Mulder gets freaked out when he finds some guys rifling through Scully's room and they say that she went to get ice. He pulls a gun and demands to know where she is! She returns with an ice bucket filled with ice. Mulder eats a whole sweet potato pie! Boy can he pack it away. Scully entertains the writer in the basement office while Mulder sits at home watching TV.
