My Favorite Post-Colonization Stories

I don't really know why I love this kind of fic so much, and I've ceased to seek answers. I just do. The best reason I've come up with is this: there is something incomparably romantic to think of Mulder and Scully existing in a bleak world in which they will do anything to be with each other and battle any adversary that threatens to come between them.
