Deku Stick (Child Link)
The Deku Stick works like a sword, but is much weaker. They break very easily. Deku sticks can also be used as torches. Find them after defeating enemies.
Fairy Slingshot (Child Link)
Use the Slingshot to shoot enemies or objects that are far away. Hold the C Button and Link’s hands zooms in. Aim with control stick and release the C Button to shoot. If you use Z Targeting before shooting, it improves your accuracy greatly. If you hold C, you can aim the slingshot without shooting it. Collect Deku Seeds to refill ammo.
Boomerang (Child Link)
If you throw it, it comes back! The Boomerang can stun or defeat enemies. Also, it can retrieve hard-to-reach Skulltula tokens. Use Z Targeting to improve your accuracy. Some enemies can only be defeated with the Boomerang
Deku Nut (Child & Adult Link)
Throw a Deku Nut on the ground and a bright light flashes, temporarily stunning enemies (not all enemies). The Deku Nut can be found practically anywhere.
The Ocarina of Time (Child & Adult Link)
Play the Ocarina at certain times and special things may happen. With the Ocarina, you can also warp to other places using songs you have learned. This is the same as the Fairy Ocarina, which disappears when you get the Ocarina of Time, except of the color. You cannot use the Fairy Ocarina to open the door of time.
Lens of Truth (Child & Adult Link)
See which items are real and which aren’t with the Lens of Truth. You can see what is in treasure chests. This item consumes magic.
Bomb (Child & Adult Link)
Damage (or kill) enemies or blow up walls with the bomb. Be careful not to get to close to the blast or you may get hurt. Bombs will explode approximately 4 seconds after you pick them up.
Bombchu (Child & Adult Link)
Pick up a Bombchu and set it at your feet. It will start running by itself. If it hits something or runs for a while without hitting anything, it will explode. Once it starts you have no control over it. It looks like a mouse and will run on the ground and even up walls.
Magic Bean
Plant Magic Beans at certain spots (those little mounds of dirt) and they will eventually (After about seven years) sprout.
Fairy Bow (Adult Link)
Shoot enemies or switches with the Fairy Bow. It works the same as the Slingshot. As you adventure progresses, you will find three magic arrows each with different affects: the Fire Arrow, the Ice arrow and the Light Arrow.
Hookshot (Adult Link)
There is a hook at the end of an expandable chain that can grab onto certain objects (like Skulltula tokens, trees, treasure chests, etc.). This is helpful when trying to get to hard-to-reach places. A red dot marks the distance you can travel. The Hookshot can even be used as a weapon (even underwater). When using, if you see a red dot, your target is in range. As the adventure progresses, you can even get an upgraded Hookshot, a Longshot. It can shoot twice as far as the Hookshot.
Megaton Hammer (Adult Link)
Move big blocks or activate a rusted switch with this dandy little toy. You can even smash enemies with it. It is essential for beating some bosses. You can smash rocks with it to.
