Style Editing > $3.50 per page. Proofreading is included in this service.
Word Processing > $1.10 per page working from your computer disk; $2.10 per page working from your hard copy.
Please Note: The per-page prices above are for double-spaced, typed pages and are based on the assumption that we have been provided with all of the information needed to complete the job (e.g., complete references, accurate quotations, etc.); if we are required to make extensive contact with you to obtain such information, we will assess a research charge at the rate listed below.
Writing > $10.00 per page for most documents (less for forms, more for highly technical writing). Contact us with the details of the project and we will provide a specific rate or flat price for that job. All of the services above are included in this service. Any research required prior to writing is charged at the research rate below.
Research > $20.00 per hour, calculated in quarter- hour increments.
Consultation > $20.00 per hour, calculated in quarter- hour increments.
Feedback > $10.00 per single-page poem; $4.50 per page for essays, articles, short prose, and multi-page poetry.
Indexing > $2.50 per page in conjunction with other services; $3.50 per page otherwise.
About our prices...
We know that our rates are fair. But we also know that, even so, some students and organizations may not be able to afford them. Because we believe that access to education should not be limited by income, we do offer discounts to low-income students under certain conditions. Call or send us an e-mail concerning your circumstances, and we will let you know what we can do for you. Similarly, we understand the difficulties faced by small non-profit organizations. If your organization is in need of our services but cannot afford our regular rates, contact us to discuss the possibility of alternative rate arrangements.

It’s best to contact us before sending us your work, so that we can discuss the details of the job and agree on a deadline. Our telephone number and e-mail address are listed below. Once we have agreed to take the job, you may send your material to us by mail, fax, or e-mail. (See note below.) Be sure to include all of the information we will need to complete the job. We will return the completed work to you by whatever means you prefer; we will include any postage costs on your invoice. We will expect payment, by check or money order, upon your receipt of the completed work.
Non-Profit Organizations
For standard editing or word processing jobs, follow the above directions. For writing or research jobs, contact us by phone or e-mail to discuss your requirements and to contract for our services. We can provide you with a formal price quote in whatever format your organizational procedures require.
Creative Writers
For standard editing, proofreading, or word processing jobs, follow the directions given to students above. If you are submitting your word for feedback only, you may send it by mail or e-mail without contacting us first but please do include a note stating that you agree to our rates. For research jobs, contact us by phone or e-mail so that we can discuss your requirements and agree upon fees and deadlines.
Please Note: Never send us the only copy of any document. Documents sent on disk should be saved in Rich Text Format (RTF) and should be accompanied by a print out of the document.
