Hi my name is Mar married for 64 yrs to the same great guy. We have 3 great kids A girl and 2 boys all married now and on their own. My husband is a retired Army 1st Sgt.We traveled a lot been in all 50 states.We also have 5 grand kids and 3 great grand kids and 1 great great grand kid.We traveled out West a lot. Our Son and Family live in Colorado, when we went to visit them we`d take a differant rte each time. We seen all the canyons,they sure are beautiful.
We took a boat ride on Lake Powell up to the rainbow bridge, seen Monument Valley,crossed the London bridge at Lake Havasu. On another trip we went to Mesa Verde,seen the Cliff Dwellings from there to Durango,took the train ride to Silverton & back that was a thrill ride.From there we drove the million dollar highway from Silverton to Ouray a road with nothing but curves and bends.
Then to rte 50 at Cannon city walked across the Royal Gorge Bridge,decended down into the Gorge on a elevator. There sure are a lot of great places to visit out west. We`ve been to Yellowstone National Park, seen the Geisors, mud pots and Mamath Hot Springs. We also went to Mt Rushmore, tour the Black Hills, the Bad Lands of North and South Dakota where we seen a lot of Prairie Dogs they are cute.
On another trip we went to Michigan, went thru a factory seen how they made cereal and boxed it.Then went on to Mackinac Island no cars are allowed,the transportation is by horse & cariage.They make the best fudge it`a very interesting place to visit.
From there we went to Saulte Ste Marie,had a boat ride thru the Soo Locks that was real interesting seeing how the locks work
Then on up to Thunder Bay where we pick up the Canadian Trans.Continental Highway, We went as far as Alberta it started to snow so we headed south to our Son & Family in Bolder Col.Stayed a few days,then on to Sunny Fla.
I`m back not making much progress with this page.It just won`t do what I want it to do if only I had a brain I have to type with one finger cause that`s the only way I know how.But I`m having alot of fun just trying,for a 79yr(80yr)(81)(82)(83)(84) old another year gone by. (Time sure flies) whose education has been thru the school of hard knocks.I think I`m doing pretty good.
I finnally got music on this page. If at first you don`t succeed try,try again I`m starting to get the hang of it.But it seem the more I learn the more there is to learn.I`ll keep trying. When I look at other home pages I think I ought to quit and just stick to surfing the web.A month ago I couldn`t do this.So maybe there`s hope for me.
Back to the drawing board.
