Debra Belo.
Because of her highly accomplished, rapid zapateado
(footwork) and feminine style, Debra is known as "La Furia". Debra has traveled to Spain
on many occasions and has studied with some of Spain's most elite Flamenco artists. She
has performed with the Denver Symphony Orchestra, the Washington Opera in the zarzuela,
"Dona Francesquita," under the Artistic Direction of Placido Domingo, and has appeared on
numerous educational and cultural television programs.
Debra has performed with Pablo Rodarte's "Amanecer Teatro Flamenco" (Denver, CO), the dance
companies of Carlos Lomas, and Vicente Romero (all of New Mexico), Spanish Dance Theatre,
Paco de Malaga and Ana Martinez (Washington, DC). She has been a guest instructor
and choreographer in Germany and has performed throughout the U.S. For current classes, click on "Instruction" above. |
