Here Comes Team Rocket!

The number of criminal incidents involving Pokémon has been on the rise. Some suggest it may have something to do with the rash of Pokémon kidnappings that have been occuring recently.

PokéMon breeders believe that do properly raise and evolve a Pokémon, you have to treat it with love and attention. But what happens if a Pokémon isn't treated properly? Will it evolve differently? What's the secret behind this new threat to PokéMon and their trainers?

Team Rocket has arrived at a store near you! April 22, 2000, the new PokéMon expainsion set, titled "Team Rocket" was released. It sports 82 new cards, and two new decks, as well. The set includes evil versions of some of your favorite pokémon, called "Dark PokéMon". There have been reported sighting of "Dark Charizard" and "Dark Blastoise" on the loose, not to mention many other Dark monsters. The holo cards have the speckles on them, instead of the usual star pattern. Another interesting and cool thing is that all of the Team Rocket cards have new PokéDex entries!

The two new Decks are called "Trouble" and "Devastation", each sporting its own unique holo. The Trouble deck is made up of Grass and Psychic PokéMon, and has a holo Dark Arbok. The Devastation deck has Grass and Water PokéMon, and has a Dark Weezing holo. Each deck has cardboard damage counters and a Meowth coin.

Other Intresting Things

I bought a little too many Team Rocket cards, if you ask me. I got 48 boosters, to be exact. I got a whole box, then got some more later. Anyways, I have 16 holos (all 1st Edition, of course). Most of the pics of this area are scans of my own TR cards, including my 4 favorite cards down below...

They're 1st edition holo Dark Charizard and holo dark Blastoise, accompanied by Dark Charmeleon and Dark wartortle! You may have seen this before, because this pic the the main image for my site!

This is the eevee family! A new set of "Eevee-lutions" (This time they're evil) has been introduced! A step up from the old set, this one has new and improved attacks!

There's also that holo dark Raichu I posted up earlier in the area... well, what about it? I don't think that there was a Dark Raichu in the Japanese set! I may be wrong, tho... I was just scanning through a price guide. checking to see if there was a Dark Raichu in Japanese. Well, It wasn't in the price guide! I looked in another book to double-check, and it wasn't in there, either! Is This Dark Raichu actually an American exclusive?
