Background Color

  1. Login to your account on the WebCity server (webcity.arc.losrios.cc.ca.us)

  2. Create an HTML file using the text processor pico:

         pico redgb.html

  3. Create the surrounding template for the web page by entering the following tags.

    <HEAD>
         <TITLE>Red Background</TITLE>
    </HEAD>

  4. Between the <BODY> and </BODY> tags above, type several lines of "Red Red Red Red Red Red Red Red Red Red Red Red Red Red Red Red Red"

  5. By modifying steps 2 and 3 above, create two additional files "greenbg.html" and "bluebg.html"

  6. By modifying steps 2 and 3 above and playing with the hexadecimal values, create an additional file called "birthdaybg.html"

  7. Add these assignments to your index.html page. Make the word red, green, and blue local links. Make "My Favorite Birthday Color" a local link. Example:
