02/29:Gold in Turkey:
According to Sony Music Turkey,Celine's album "All The Way-A Decade Of Song"
will be certified GOLD soon.This would be Celine's third GOLd album in Turkey.

02/20:Celine Weekend on NO1 TV:
NO1 Tv,Turkey's biggest music television plans to air a Celine weekend soon.
More news will be held as soon as we got information about it.

02/15:Still #1:
"All The Way-A Decade Of Song" holds still the #1 position on PineApple Charts.

02/10:Celine nominated in two categories:
Celine got two nominations from Juno Awards,which will be held on March 12
in Toronto:
Best Female Vocalist
Best Album,"These Are Special Times"

01/17:Celine won in one category:
At the PineApple Star Vote, Celine won in only one category.She was
nominated in three categories.However,she won in "Best Collobration with Vocals" 
category where she was nominated with "I'm Your Angel Tonight",the duet with
R.Kelly.

01/10:Celine back to #1:
On PineApple Charts Celine returned to #1 again with her album
"All The Way-A Decade of Song".The positions of the album are:
#1(Debut),#1,#3,#6,#4,#3,#1.

01/06:According to Canadian Recording Industry Celine is the "Best Selling Canadian Artist" 
with sales over 110 million units world wide.

10/14:It's finally here! "That's The Way It Is" is the first single from Celine Dion's 
upcoming greatest hits album, 'All The Way.' Now you'll be hearing this 
song on the radio and there is no doubt that you'll 
recognize Celine's voice when you hear it.

In Canada, Celine Dion is a permanent star who is etched in stone. 
On Friday, September 17, Celine unveiled a star made of marble and granite 
bearing her name. The star serves as a reminder of the impact Celine has on Canadian 
cultural heritage. The ceremony that inducted Celine to Canada's Walk Of Fame 
took place in Toronto on King St. where Toronto's Mayor Mel Lastman and 
The Hon. Sheila Copps presented Celine with her star and the key to the 
city. A young girl with CF named Caitlyn Brady thanked Celine for all her 
work with CF by handing her a bouquet of flowers. Celine replied by 
telling Caitlyn not to give up because one day there will be a cure. 
Hundreds of Celine fans gathered around to take photos and yell out words of love. 

If you are in Toronto and want to visit Celine's star, it's on King Street, 
just East of The Royal Alexandra Theatre.
 
9/8:Celine's new live album titled 'Celine au Coeur du Stade' was recorded at 
the Stade de France in Paris, during Celine's two sold-out performances on June 19 
and 20, 1999. These performances made concert history as Celine became the 
very first to draw attendance in excess of 90,000 spectators at a single 
show for a grand total of 180,000 in only two nights. WOW! 

The album features material from Celine's repertoire never previously performed in France. 

In Europe the CD was released on August 27, 1999 and in France, Belgium and 
Switzerland their was also a video released on August 31. 

In Canada, you can look forward to the CD release on Tuesday, September 14, 1999!

9/2:Way to go! Celine has been nominated for the MuchMoreMusic Artist award 
in the upcoming 10th annual MuchMusic Video Awards.
 
8/31:Celine will be sharing the stage with Corey Hart! Corey will be Celine's 
special guest for her upcoming Canadian concerts this fall. 
Montrealer Corey Hart 
has had a stellar career, selling over 10 million albums worldwide. 
His last album, 'Jade' was released 
in November 1998. This is not the first time Corey and Celine have worked 
together. Corey wrote and produced two songs on Celine's 'Let's Talk About Love'  
album - 
"Miles To Go (Before I Sleep") and "Where Is The Love."

8/23:The first ever ARTISTDirect Online Music Awards have just been announced. Celine is nominated for Favorite Female Artist.(from CelineOnline)

5/5: Celine is the second most successful female artist after Madonna in 1998 in Turkey.
Her album "Let's Talk About Love" has sold more than 200,000 units in Turkey.

4/30:Celine is selected as the "Most Successful Artist" of the year by
the Strawberry Magazine.

4/22:Celine has cancelled some of her tour dates because her
husband is ill.

4/17: Celine has dropped put from the PineApple Charts. 

4/8:Celine has unfortunately had to postpone some North American tour dates. Below is an

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 
APRIL 7, 1999 

CELINE DION'S HUSBAND/MANAGER, RENE ANGELIL, DOING WELL AFTER SURGERY; 

ARTIST WILL POSTPONE SEVERAL NORTH AMERICAN DATES 

While Celine Dion was on tour in Dallas last week, her husband and manager, René Angelil, was 
briefly 
hospitalized there for a surgical procedure. 

Dion's husband was under the care of highly respected Dallas physician, 
Dr. Robert M. Steckler. 
Dr. Steckler had this to say about the surgery, "Mr. Angelil has had 
surgery performed for Squamous Cell Carcinoma Metastatic to his 
right neck. He has tolerated the procedure very well and his 
prognosis is excellent." Mr. Angelil was released from the hospital 
last week and will undergo 6 weeks of radiation therapy. 

Earlier today, Celine released this statement: "Obviously, this is a very delicate time
for René and I, but we have 
been blessed with some of the best medical attention in the world. 
René is the biggest priority in my life and I want to be by his side 
as he continues his treatment. I hope my fans will understand 
and support me in this difficult situation." 

The scheduled concerts from April 13th through May 7th inclusively 
will be rescheduled to the Fall season and the new dates will 
be announced imminently in each individual market.

3/30:Today is Celine's 31st Birthday! To help celebrate, we gave away 
30 black and white official press photos of Celine to the first 30 
people to e-mail us. We've already received an overwhelming 
response, winners have been chosen and will be contacted shortly.

3/19:Celine will be performing "The Prayer" at this year's Oscars!

2/23:Strawbery Magazine has announced the results of its
Star Vote'98.Celine has won in three categories:

2/23:Celine's Christmas album "These Are Special Times"
has reached #1 position this week on PineApple Charts.

2/19:Celine is the winner of the 8th Annual Star Vote made
by PineApple Magazine.Her home video "Live From Memphis"
has been selected as the Best Home Video of 1999.

February 16:Wow! Celine has done it again. She is the 
recipient of The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts 
and Sciences (CARA) International Achievement Award. 
She will receive the award at the 28th annual Juno Awards 
on March 7, 1999, where she is also scheduled to perform. 

1/28:The 1999 Juno Award nominations have been announced
and Celine is up for six! Celine will be performing during 
the ceremony which takes place on Sunday, March 7 at 
Copps Coliseum in Hamilton.

1/11:The first nationally televised entertainment awards 
show of 1999, The 25th Annual People's Choice Awards, 
recently took place and Celine won the people's vote for 
Favorite Female Music Performer. 

Januray 8:Celine will go on. She has been nominated six times
