 Why Did Howard's band even show up these guys sucked.  They felt the wrath of SOP early and often!

2nd Game
Mississippi Valley State University
Valley's trombone section really is always very slaw.   We really embarrassed them.

3nd Game
Alabama A &M State University
 Why do these peon trombone sections even show up.  We went to Alabama and layed don't the law!!!

4th Game
AlabamaState University
  In the 90's Alabama State always had respectable trombone sections. ASU used to be among the best of the rest.  This year they were horrible.   They had 5 trombones they looked like a high school band.

5th Game
Southern University
Their trombones have always been the worst section in their band.  They are way out of tune and the are not consistent.  We sound to good for them and we simply had way more power.

6th Game
GramblingState University
 I can sum this game up in two words: they suck!

7th Game
University of Arkansasat Pine Bluff
 UAPB has come a long way in numbers.  They sound better.  They have moved way up in the ranks.  However, they still were no match for the BOOM much less for SOP.

8th GAme
North Carolina A & T State University
Truly they were a worthy apponet.  They have a nice sound for such a small section.  However, the BOOM and SOP brought the pain.

9th Game
Prairie View A & M University
We didn't go.  I'm sure there are a lot of relieved trombone players in Texas.

10th Game
AlcornState University
   This is the section that talks the most noise. They were shot as usual.  Alcorn's trombone section is just another example of the poor musicianship of their slaw band.  They have no tone quality, sound, or Power.  They play high school fanfares.  I'm sorry, I am giving them  too much credit.  A junior high could play more difficult stuff.  They have no concept of tone, intonation of the partial, the straight line effect, double tonguing, du-dul tonguing, etc.  They also have no endurance.  THEY SUCK!!!

Tennessee StateUniversity
They always are fun to see them try to step against SOP.  TSU has a good band and a good trombone section.  They are just no competition.  The BOOM put on a clinic in Memphis.  The BOOM had too much power, a much better book and better arrangements.  TSU's trombone section's futile attemts at trying to blow aganst SOP were funny. SOP has no competition.

Like I said we are the best
