The Command Chamber
The central nexus of the Power Rangers eXtreme is the Command Chamber. Housed within the great room are the terminal interfaces of Z.O.R.D.-1. The Command Chamber is divided into several different sections.
As you enter through the opening in the solar tower outside, you will begin a descent into a tunnel towards the main door of the Command Chamber. Unlike the other rooms in the Power Tower, the Command Chamber is physically in this dimension. The tunnel is a cross between metal and plastic, black carpeting leading to the door. Halogen running lamps line the crevices at ceiling and floor as well as the middle of the walls.
The door of the Command Chamber is opened only through three different methods of identification: retina scan, voiceprint identification, and handprint identification.
The Command Chamber is divided into several different sections, as mentioned above. In the center of the room is the Viewing Globe, a sphere comprised of high-capacity visiorods tied into a holographic projection unit. Combining the power of the Sensor Array with the detail of holograms, the Viewing Globe gives the Rangers an accurate picture of any situation.
Surrounding the Viewing Globe are several transparent computer stations, utilized with micro-forcefields that are tied in directly to the computer core. Information can be drawn to these stations, but it is suggested that for major information viewing, one of the main terminals should be used.
The Main Terminals were designed with easy-of-use with menu-driven interface. They consist of two full monitors, two smaller ones, a standard QWERTY membrane keypad, and five interchangeable menu selection control boards.
Several terminals line the wall, designed to be mission-specific with engineering diagnostics/monitoring, scientific evaluation, and data analysis. The Z.O.R.D.-1 interface rests next to a large visual display of the Earth and her continents.
To the right of the interface is the main
door to the rest of the base. There is a listing of the rooms and a
control panel that you must input the room number into.
