When people think of Lila Fowler, they think of fabulous parties, exquisite clothes, and popularity. So when Ellie McMillan, a little girl from the day-care center Lila volunteers at, runs away to Lila's house, you'd expect trouble ahead. But would you believe - Lila actually likes having Ellie around!
The trouble at home for Ellie started when her mum started going out with a new guy. Ellie thinks that her mother doesn't have enough love or time for her anymore, so she quickly moves over to Lila's. Problem is, she wants to stay there - permanently!
