Rami is like the mother of the band if you think about it. He bakes cookies for the band, man! Come on, isn't that cute? I think so.
You can always catch this guy smoking a cigar. That you could tell it's Rami boy.
Born on March 23, 1969. Grew up in LA.
Around in the 80s, he met up with Jakob in the Kabitz room. They began to play together the next day.
He sticked around with Jakob after the original Wallflowers left each other. They began doing their own stuff. You can catch Tobi Miller in the band, Maypole. Check it out in my links.
Rami used to be a pizza delivery man. He had to do that to support the band, I guess. He also worked in a shoe store, I believe.
Rami always tends to wear a hat with a feather sticking out of it…let's see…left, right, left. Ah, left! I don't really know what that really means. Hmm…
Rami's married to Alicia Jaffee. Sorry, guys! :o( He has a daughter named Tevi (Jakob's first son's, Levi). She was born around last year in June or July. Around there. Rami quit smoking for Tevi at that time, awe, that's cool.
In the Wallflowers last concert tour, he was dressed up as a clown, I could imagine that! He's a funny person.
Rami appears in videos and albums, other than the Wallflowers, Everclear, he's also in Lean Andreoni's (I think that's how you spell her last name, if it's wrong, sorry about that! No one's perfect, you know!) album, and in the latest one, which I don't quite remember the name of the artist.
Rami attended Fairfax High School, in Los Angelas.
Rami plays a Hammond B-3 with a Lesile 147, and also known for the upright grand pianos, a Vox Supercontinental (Baroque), a Wurlitzer 200a electric piano, a Sixties Honder accordion and a Heipinstill acoustic/electric upright piano.
You can always catch him play an electric guitar in the video "6th Avenue Heartache". It's a really fast clip, so slow down the video! Hehe!
"…Being in the band feels like a summer camp…"--Rami
The most embarrassing time for this guy, as he replies to a interviewer, was when he decided to make his own drink (and you know how dangerous that is to people) he got himself into a hospital! Whoa…
Now, the look a-likes for this guy, Rami… Now, if you ever seen some Mountain Dew commercial ads on television, there's one where it's shot at a hospital, somewhere like that. You see in the operating room, you see doctors, and one of them just looks like Rami! Seriously does!
Born on February 21 (not too sure of the year, right now)
Grew up in Minneapolis.
If you haven't noticed or know, he's in love with his bike, not the bikes we usually ride with to hangout or to school, it's a motorcycle. He takes it whereever he goes, even on tour. It is his favorite hobby.
(I find this one very odd, but some guys do it) He shaves his legs for bike racing.
He likes being bald, I guess.
He's a great guitarist, he appeared with other artists before the Wallflowers. (I just don't have the artists' names right now)
If you look at the video, "The Difference", you could see the same necklace that Jakob wears on Michael. A friendship necklace I should say? That's cute!
In the video "6th Avenue Heartahce", he gives the finger at the camera, and Greg's beside him laughing. It looked like Greg dared Michael to do that. Hehehe!
He recently got married this year around on March. Sorry guys!
Michael regularly switches between two Gibsons (a Howard Roberts Fusion and a Seventies goldtop Les Paul Signature) and a pair of Danny Ferrington baritone guitars; his effects include a Dunlop UniVibe, assorted MXR phasers and flangers, and a Demeter Tremulator. Michael's amp setup is far less complex--a Demeter TGA-3 75-watt tube amp, a Masa/Boogie power amp, and a selection of 4x12 cabinets.
If success ever got in his way he would describe himself as,"…a witty little bastard…"--Michael.
"…So, I came in and did this whirlwind, trying to put some gravy on the cake, you know?"--Michael, interview with KWRC
