- Master Jearl E. Reagan I -
Master Reagan is a retired Gunnery Sergeant from the United States Marine Corps. During his tenure with the Marines he instructed the following:
Military Weapons, Offensive Tactics, Defensive Tactics, Close Combat Tactics, Rappelling, Insertion and Rescue, Individual Explosive Counter Measures, Water Safety Survival, and Physical Fitness.
Master Reagan first became belted on his fortieth birthday, 13 July 1998. Prior to that time he had decided to decline any belt certifications due to his ‘Life Activities’. Thought it would be better to remain out of the skyline due to world recognition as a Marine. Master Reagan has studied, approximately 20 years, under various instructors throughout the world in a variation of styles combined into a Street Fight form. With a culmination of Master Reagan’s military tactics experience and his variation of Martial Arts he founded Jiyu-Bushi Karate in 1998.
On April 16, 1999 Master Reagan was promoted to 5th Degree Black Belt, under Jiyu-Bushi Karate, by Soke Jim Mahan, and awarded the instructor title of Master Instructor, Military Armed and Unarmed Combat.
