POKÉMON NAME: Pikachu

JAPANESE NAME: Pikachu

POKÉDEX NUMBER: 25

TYPE: Electric

NICKNAME: Mouse

COLOUR: Yellow

EYE COLOUR: Appears black from a distance but close up you will see a hint of brown in them.

OTHER FEATURES: Red cheeks, brown stripes on it's back, Brown patch on base of tail, black tipped pointy ears.

VOICED BY: Ikue Ohtani (since Pikachu is the same in Japanese and in English the character did not need to be dubbed, although in the very first episode Rachael Lillis had to do some voice over for it for when Pikachu's voice got drowned out by other characters...it is her voice when Pikachu's voice goes unusually high.

TRAINED BY: Ash

BACKGROUND: I have no idea how Professor Oak managed to catch Pikachu into a Pokéball as the poor little thing is afraid of going into one... it was given to Ash by Professor Oak but Pikachu was still wild so refused to battle for Ash and often just sat around doing nothing, but when the two worked together to avoid a flock of angry Spearow they suddenly became the best of friends. Pikachu is quite a friendly little creature to the people it knows but if strange people begin to crowd around him he will give them a Thundershock, plus it doesn't like cameras. Pikachu is a lot more powerful than your average Pikachu so that's why Team rocket want it so much!

THINGS ABOUT PIKACHU YOU MIGHT NOT KNOW THAT I NOTICED: Since the character isn't dubbed when it says Ash's name it says "Pika Pi" but this doesn't sound like the name Ash...in fact this would be Pikachu saying "Satoshi" Ash's Japanese name! When Pikachu says Togepi it says "Pi Pi Pi!" When Pikachu says Chikorita it says "Pika Pika!" (both Togepi and Chikorita sound right when Pikachu says them because there names are also just about the same in English and Japanese)
