BACKGROUND: As soon as Ash turned 10 he received his first Pokémon from Professor Oak but he was late so he got Pikachu, a wild Pokémon that hadn't tamed yet. At first Ash and Pikachu don't get along but after an incident with some Spearow the two became firm friends. Along with his two friends, Misty and Brock he travels around challenging other Pokémon trainers and gym leaders. He came in the top 16 in the Indigo league and he won the Orange league...he is now working his way to the Johto league. When he was first starting out as a trainer he used to make a lot of mistakes but now he has learned from them and is a more experienced trainer, so he can handle most situations. He cares a lot for Pokémon and will do anything for anybody to help them out.
