And when he opened the seventh seal there was silence in heaven for about half an hour. And I saw the seven angels, the ones standing in front of God, and seven trumpets were given to them. And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer, and a lot of incense was given to him, so that he might offer it, with the prayers of all the saints, on the golden altar in front of the throne.
And the smoke of the incense went up with the prayers of the saints out of the hand of the angel, in front of God. And the angel took the censer and filled it from the fire of the altar and hurled it to the earth, and there were sounds and thunders and lightnings and an earthquake.
And the seven angels having the seven trumpets got ready to trumpet out.
And the first angel trumpeted out and there was hail and fire mixed with blood and it was thrown onto the earth, and a third of the trees were burnt up and all the green vegetation was burnt up.
And the second angel trumpeted out and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was hurled into the sea and a third of the sea became blood, and a third of the creatures in the sea died, the ones having feeling, and a third of the ships were destroyed.
And the third angel trumpeted out, and out of heaven fell a great star burning like a lamp and it fell on a third of the rivers and on the springs of waters. And the name of the star is called Absinthe and a third of the waters become absinthe and many men died from the waters because they were made bitter.
And the fourth angel trumpeted out and a third of the sun and a third of the moon and a third of the stars were struck, so that a third of them were darkened, and a third of the day did not appear, and similarly the night.
And I saw, and I heard one angel flying high up in the sky, saying in a loud voice,
“Woe, woe, woe, to those who reside on the earth because of the remaining sounds of the trumpet of the three angels who are about to trumpet out!”
