Dahls are the Saudi word for "caves" and there are
many found throughout Saudi Arabia and the desert. Many of them seem
to connect, and form labyrinths.
People can easily get lost in them. Some are deep, roundish holes
in the ground
from which different tunnels go out. However, the Saudi government does not
fund spelunking much, and many dahls are unexplored and unknown
of. Some have very small or blocked entrances and most are volcanic.
<Kirsehn>You know something interesting my science teacher
told me. I mean sort of knew it but I never made the connection....that all
the ancient civilizations in the Americas all originated from the same people
(this includes Mayans, Incas, Aztecs, Native Americans). They just migrated
to different places. They were all part of the original migrations from Asia
<Aitrus> Egypt.
<Alahmnat> yeah, and they came across the land bridge which is
now the Bearing Strait during the last Ice Age, when the waters were lower.
<Aitrus> The Bearing Strait is an outdated and (in my not-so-humble
opinion) wrong theory. My theory is that which coincides with Atlantis. People
came from ancient civilizations to the "New" world.
<Alahmnat> there are theories that suggest that the Carthaginians made
it to New England 3500 years ago...
<Alahmnat> and there is some evidence (partly circumstantial, partly
concrete) to support this.
<Aitrus> Which is very . . .possible? Carthaginians? Well, I guess they
could. The Phillipines and China and that area (Asia) could've easily reached
California.
<Alahmnat> they were the group that was originally from Tyre, I just
can't for the life of me remember their name.
<Kirsehn> anyway...it says here that they have discovered giant stones
under
the ocean that could have been part of ancient buildings. The Atlantians were
supposed to have been a highly advanced civilization that was said to have
crystal power (firemarbles??), lasters, and even airplanes. The civilization
was written about by Plato and it was said to have been destroyed by earthquake
or flood. The story originated in Egypt
<Alahmnat> yeah, or volcanic eruption...
<Alahmnat> BTW, not everyone thinks that the road they've found in
the Caribbean is from Atlantis...
<Kirsehn>the story of Atlantis says that they were rich in material
wealth and virtue but then turned greedy, they had economic control over the
entire Mediterranean. Crete ruins seem to have been moved by a tidal wave
caused by eruption on the island of Thira(Santerini)...this could have been
the wave that destroyed Atlantis. A lot of people think Thira was Altantis
or the story was based on it. Others believe it was in the Caribbean. A farmer
found sinkholes on his property fell through and landed in a living room,
he had found an entire city preserved by volcanic ash...I forget where this
was...may have been on Thira
<Alahmnat> I think it's Thera, Kirs...
<Kirsehn> oh..ok Thera J
<Kirsehn> oh yeah...i remember now...he had discovered the Minoan
civilization which they think could have been the Atlantians.
<Kirsehn> anyway...on another note....some of these ruins they have
found
have been dated at 900 years old but some scientists claim they are much older...as
long ago as 9000 years old. When the Minoan civilization was discovered on
Thera....there were no skeletons found. This lead ppl to believe they fled...but
to where?
<Alahmnat> hmm, I believe (not sure) that the Greek meaning of
Thera was "fear" because it exploded in a volcanic eruption, taking
most of the stuff on the Island with it...
<Kirsehn> hmm...interesting. Some say that small earthquakes and eruptions
warned them....
<Alahmnat> some think that the 10 lost tribes of Israel went off to
found Atlantis. I heard that in Freshman History class...
<Kirsehn> there is a another highly advanced civilization 300 miles
away that has
similarities....
<Kirsehn> Israel also has art similarities
<Kirsehn> some ppl also think Troy could have been Atlantis. They had
bronze weapons and a great fleet, they had ditches acting as concentric waterways
<Alahmnat> The Tyre and Carthage people were Phoenicians.
<Kirsehn> Oh,I see
<Alahmnat> BTW, Thera is not too far from Crete.
<Kirsehn>::back to notes:: in the 1880s there was a US Congresman named
Ignasius Donely. He spent alot of time in the Library of Congress reading
Jules Verne and about ancient cultures. He wrote a theory about Atlantis that
said that Atlantis held the key to all civilization. He said it was in the
Atlantic and that Atlantis was an Antediluvian world. All Utopian myths including
the Garden of Eden came from Atlantis. All gods, Atlas, Quetzecotl were all
variations of the Atlantian god. He also said that many civilizations had
similar calendars and cited the American and Egyptian pyramids.
<Kirsehn> there is also some story about a god who lept from a volcano
(which vaguely reminded me of Gehn...lol) written by Plato
<Kirsehn> many civilizations have similar stories and astrology. There
is also a universal memory of a great flood and a natural disasters cycle
<Kirsehn> then in the 1920s there was Edgar Cosey. He made a prophecy
that Atlantis would be discovered in 1968 near Biminy(Bimidy?) in 1968. Right
on time, a 2000 ft long wall or raised roadway with one end carved in a J
and stone slabs in geometric patterns appeared in the area Cosey predicted.
They appear to be artificially cut with extraordinary precision, and engineering
unable to be explained.
<Kirsehn> Also....this underwater blocks and slabs and road and stuff
seemed to have sophisticated astronomical alignments. Possibly used for predictions
of cosmic collisions or disasters such as comets or asteriods
<Kirsehn> thats all the notes I have
<Alahmnat> Tyre was more on the East coast of the Mediterranean, so
it's possible that they had contact with Atlantis and definitely had contact
w/ Egypt. I'll keep an eye on this...
<Kirsehn> ok
<Alahmnat> BTW, Kirs, Thera as only 10 miles from Crete, just saw
that
