Synopsis: A conservative mother's life is disrupted when her ex best friend, and fellow groupie visits.

Sometimes I think I should have been my age in the seventies. I want to be like the band-aids in Almost Famous or the Banger Sisters in The Banger Sisters. But then I doubt the real era was all that much like the movies. Still, it is fun to watch.

The Banger Sisters, Goldie Hawn and Susan Sarandon, take their name from "banging" muscians...and a couple of roadies. Years later, these "sisters" couldn't be more different. Suzette (Hawn) is stuck in the past while LaVinia (Sarandon) is running from it. When they meet again, one learns to move on and the other embraces her past and the person she really is.

When Suzette runs out of money and gets fired from her job at the very club she was once famous, she heads off to Phoenix to borrow money from "vinnie". But when she arrives, Vinnie has become LaVinia, the wife of a rich politician and the mother of two spoiled teenage girls. Her family knows nothing of her past and she would like it to remain that way. Suzette turns her world upside down when she reminds her of who she was and is. The story is funny and heartwarming. No two better actresses could have been picked for the parts.

Did anyone else notice Erika Christenson has two movies out simultaneously in which she bangs a hot guy in a swimming pool? Good way to get a bad reputation honey. Ok bad joke, moving on.

My favorite part of the movie was when the two come back to Vinnie's house drunk and pull out a box full of polaroids featuring the genitals of various men, the names of which were on the back. They then proceeded to guess who's penis is who's when her husband and daughter walk in. Priceless.
