Kevin Spacey, sometimes credited as Kevin Spacey Fowler, was born on July 26, 1959 in South Orange New Jersey. He keeps most information about his personal life hidden, but some very interesting things about his life before Hollywood is known. As a child, he burned down his sister's treehouse and was sent off to military school but was soon kicked out for hitting a classmate with a tire. He then went on to Chatsworth high school where he got involved with the drama department and graduated covaledictorian. Fellow Chatsworth classmate, Val Kilmer, adviced him to get into the Julliard drama program, which Kevin did. He left though after two years and went into the theater. He won a Tony award in 1990 for his role in "Lost in Yonkers". He then turned to film, mostly playing supporting roles and villians. In the 2001 issue of Total Films Magazine, he was listed twice in the Top 10 Villians of all time list. (#10 for Se7en, and #5 for Usual Suspects). Just before his greatest film yet was released in theaters, American Beauty, Kevin Spacey was awarded a star on the Walk of Fame at Hollywood Blvd. In 1997, he was named the #56 spot on the Top 100 Movie Stars of all time list by Empire Magazine, and in 1999, voted the greatest actor of the decade by the same publication.
