I have not seen a good review about this movie. Apparently, every critic thinks it's so bad, that it doesn't even reach the so bad it's good category. Alright, I didn't go to film school or anything, but neither did any of you reading this. So listen to me, not them.... SEE THIS MOVIE!!!! It is excellent!!
First of all, I'm sure you have all heard about the racy sex scenes in this movie. Yes, they are definately the most most erotic I have seen in a rated R film. But that does not make it bad. The sex matches the intense heat between Antonio Banderas and Anjolina Jolie. Their onscreen chemistry is amazing, they light the screen on fire! Plus, both of them are beautiful people,and they look beautiful together.
The actual plot is also good. Lot's of interesting twists and turns. You can never quite figure out whether you should trust Jolie's character or not, but either way, you can't help but like her despite the badness in her. As for Luis, (Banderas), his love is admirable, enviable, but also makes you grateful you don't have it.
In a lot of love stories, it's so easy for the two to love eachother because they are such wonderful people. But in this story, their love encompasses both the good and the very very bad. Also, it's not only a love story, it's got murder, betrayal, fugitives...
Bottomline: Ignore the critics, and if you don't mind the raw footage, you'll like it.
