Thomas Montgomery Newman, born in Los Angelos, California on October 20, 1955, has music running through his veins. His father, Alfred Newman, and brother, David Newman, are also film composers. Thomas Newman was destined to succeed, having graduated from Yale University with a masters in music composition. Before composing scores for feature films, Thomas was the keyboardist for the rock band, "The Innocents". He then began a long and busy career in making music for Hollywood's hottest films. Listen to the scores in Erin Brockovich, Pay It Forward, and American Beauty, and you will no doubt be able to recognize who is behind the talent. In such films, his music plays a huge role in making these movies as great as they are. Music is sets the mood, and the right music makes a good movie, great. Thomas Newman does this best.
